One to one room visit with our maureen, we dressed her therapy doll, played old time classic singalongs🎶, one of her favourite being the lambeth walk "hoy! and i was lucky enough to share one of Maureen's favourite chocolate bounty bars with her too🍫🥥😋, our carer claire pictured with our malcolm colour co-ordinating, one to one reminiscing with our peter📷, looking back on hold images of him throughout the years, his holidays in benidorm with his mum and dad, seeing peter and his parents on horse back, and commenting how much he resembled king Charles, we was both laughing out loud and peter found humour when I started curtesying in front of him🤣, seeing peter as a baby, his little jack russel dog penny he idolised and pictured with his brother Robert and sister Barbara at his 70th birthday celebrations, and finally our jack and Michael with their newspapers taking in the local news📰

Some lovely images captured within our home, we played montessori(better known as kerplunk)with our Michael,Sheila,barbara,jack and peter, learning to use strategies to try and keep the balls a float inserted in the top of the tower whilst removing the sticks, well done to peter for finishing empty handed at the end of the game🏆, an home visit for our joan from daughter lynn and Joan's great- grandchildren, and another funpacked installment from sue at , chair exercise whist listening to old time rhymes and classic songs,

So yesterday I had the pleasure of accompanying our tom to Your Space Hoyland to proceed with an induction so he can once again start his journey towards building his stamina and fitness 💪🏋‍♂️, to think it's 34 years since tom was last in a gym is just remarkable, from the onset I definitely saw an unbelievable change in his mood and he was smiling from ear to ear😁, you could clearly see tom was in his element,tom's gym induction leader was gaz( and husband to our home administrator Joe),the professionalism, knowledge and patience was outstanding and he made us feel such at ease from the start, thankyou your space, we just simply couldn't fault a thing, Also a big thankyou for Tom's friend Andy for taking the time to come join us too, Andy visits our home Mondays to train our tom on a one to one basis in the comfort of his own room🥰
With the weather being so nice we decided to make our own way back to our home, but first called into English Rose Tea Room for coffee and cake☕️🍰, thankyou to Adrian,molly and team for making us feel so welcome as always and taking the time to sit and chat with us out of your very busy day?, tom is already looking forward to his next visit already😁

Celebrating 36 Years of Dedication, Care & Compassion ❤️❤️

Today we celebrate two very special members of our Hoyland Hall family, head of hospitality Diane and senior night carer Caroline, who have dedicated an incredible 36 years to caring for our residents. 🌷
Throughout all these years, they have given so much of themselves, showing kindness, compassion, patience and genuine care to everyone they have had the pleasure of supporting. Their dedication has made a lasting difference to so many lives and has helped make Hoyland Hall the special place it is today. ❤️
We want to say a huge thankyou to you both for everything you have done, and continue to do, for our residents, families and colleagues.

We are so privileged to have you both representing our home

Amanda - Singalong Days was in the house🎤🎶💃🕺
What an amazing time we had welcoming Amanda to come sing to our lovely residents, once again what a show she provided us, all singing, dancing and some raving inbetween🙌, the smiles, laughing and feel good factor was clearly felt in the room, it's simply amazing to witness Amanda's presence, taking the time to personally connect with our residents, Amanda never change, you are simply beaitiful in every single way and left once again a lasting impression👏, we are already looking forward to welcoming you back already😁,

Another visit to our home from Grassroots Sports Academy, yet again amazing input from our residents, they thoroughly enjoy these sessions and it's clear to see their enthusiasm, a firm favourite definitely being the boxing🥊🥊, however great skill and concentration shown throughout, once again thankyou for your care and patience towards our residents they really do love to see you🥰

We had fresh fruit Friday taking in valuable nutrients while also keeping hydrated at the same time🍓🍊🍏🍇, a capture of our peter ready and looking all dapper ready for his granddaughter Rebecca and future husbands wedding nuptials in Holmfirth, one to one with our malcom in the comfort of his room, malcom prefers to relax and watch a d.v.d, looking through his collections it was a mutual decision and we chose benny hill, classic entertainment at it's best🙂,finishing our day with our participating residents well loved bingo, well done to our maureen and Sheila shouting house, Also a big thankyou to our carer shannon for supporting our joan during this activity🥰
