We've had the most wonderful time surprising our beautiful business administrator Joe with some gifts for her 60th birthday.

We have also been busy bees posting flyers around the community for our annual summer fair that will be taking place on the 8th August, we would love to see you all there!

Last week we had the ray of sunshine that is Amanda come to perform for us here at Water Royd. We made the most of the glorious weather, pulled out the sun hats and sat outside.

Amanda brings the best atmosphere to Water Royd with her performances; we were all singing and dancing along. Amanda brought some props with her and we had the best time shaking our tambourines!

Thank you so much Amanda, we look forward to seeing you again soon!

We had the absolute pleasure of the Everly Brothers coming to perform for us here at Water Royd. The atmosphere was amazing, everybody was singing along and having a wonderful time. We would like to thank the Everly Brothers for bringing something new and exciting to Water Royd and helping us celebrate our beautiful friend Carole's birthday! We look forward to your next visit!

This week we had the honour of celebrating our wonderful carers for Carers Week. The lovely people living with us took part in arts and crafts where we made some appreciation balloons with messages of thanks written on them. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing care staff for all of your hard work and dedication, keep being you and enjoy the treats!

Last week we had a gorgeous trip out to Cannon Hall Farm with Myley tours.
Our lovely ladies really enjoyed themselves, one of our ladies, Mary, expressed how she was able to explore more areas of the farm than she has done before, this really made her day. After looking at the animals, we spent some time in The White Bull Restaurant where we enjoyed a hot drink and cake. Brilliant day out, looking forward to our next trip with Myley Tours.

Fun in the sun 🌞 enjoying our live singers Denise on Friday and Rebekah on Wednesday outside in our garden area. Brilliant atmosphere singing along and showing off our dancing moves 🤗
Also, some of our lovely lot enjoying music videos on the projector screen, we find this environment really engaging as familiar music can trigger memories and reduce stress and anxiety. We also had a lovely visit from Cannon Keith Farrow who conducted a Communal Worship service and offered private visits for those wishing to receive, Cannon Keith will be visiting us again on 24th June 💙

Now the weather is getting so much nicer we like nothing better than having as many activities as we can outside 🌞. Last week we had our live singer Rebekah outside and our Lifestyle team did some fabulous flower arranging work with some of our lovely lot.

The lovely Barbie who lives at Water Royd has a very talented Son, Mick. Mick plays the saxophone and kindly agreed to come and play for everyone living at Water Royd.

Mick played for us at Christmas time so we knew we were in for a treat. Everyone really enjoyed listening to the sounds of the sax and found it very soothing and relaxing (after having fun with the props 🤣).
