β "Sorry... could you say that again?"
How often do you find yourself asking people to repeat themselves?
While everyone misses the odd word from time to time, regularly asking people to repeat themselves is one of the most common early signs of hearing loss.
You might notice you're saying:
π "Sorry, what was that?"
π "Can you say that again?"
π "I didn't quite catch that."
This often happens because hearing loss can make certain speech sounds, particularly higher-pitched consonants like S, F, T and TH, much harder to hear. You may hear that someone is talking, but not clearly understand every word.
Many people simply put it down to others mumbling or blame background noise, but if it's becoming a regular occurrence, it's worth having your hearing checked.
At Hearing Excellence, our comprehensive Hearing Health Check provides a overall assessment of your hearing and gives you clear, honest advice about your hearing health.
