I told you we were itching to do an event again 😂 We’re having a fun Easter 🐣 event. £5 per child (includes Easter egg hunt). They’ll be fun Easter activities to do also at a small cost & all profits go to the cic to fund therapy. Please get in contact to book a time slot. Any family is welcome 🤗 you don’t have to be accessing therapy to book this. Saturday 18th March.

Great to visit Equipt Therapy Services who are doing amazing work providing therapy to children and young people in our Town (and beyond!)

Tonight, they’re hosting a Zumbathon at Pen*stone Leisure Centre to raise funds so they can continue with their brilliant work.

This topic came up this week when a child ran out of the classroom! Why? Because they weren’t heard by the teacher and so wouldn’t sit down, the teacher raised their voice and the child left. The child experienced early neglect and domestic abuse. Not being heard and raised voices trigger automatic nervous system reactions. The child was blamed and came to therapy with his head in his hands due to shame! Use empathy where you can always ❤️

I was reviewing a Filial Therapy intervention this week and the parent was reflecting on how calm she becomes during Filial Therapy sessions. It’s such a powerful intervention and empowering for parents but in an emotionally containing way ❤️
