we used lots of resources from Daily Sparkle 💚🤍❤️
They have so many fun activities, fact files, quizzes and word searches that kept us busy all day!
We love using these resources for our armchair travel days 😊
We are now fuelling the plane to jet off to Australia 🇦🇺 💙❤️🤍

💛 Loneliness Awareness Week💛

This week at Swimbridge House, we’re celebrating the importance of connection, companionship, and community as we support lonliness awareness week (15 - 21 June)

A smile, a chat over a cup of tea, sharing stories, or simply spending time together - these small moments can make such a big difference. We’re proud to create a warm and welcoming home where friendships grow and meaningful connections are part of everyday life.

This week is a reminder that no one should feel alone, and that kindness and conversation can go a long way.

🌍 World Environment Day 2026 🌿
Today we are celebrating World Environment Day by spending time in our garden between the showers, enjoying the beautiful flowers and spotting some of the wonderful animals that help our environment thrive. 🐝🌸🦋
Our residents have also been putting their knowledge to the test with a fun Environment Quiz, learning more about nature, wildlife and ways we can all help protect our planet.

Did you know?
🌳 The UK has over 3.2 billion trees, helping to absorb carbon dioxide and support wildlife.
🐝 Around one-third of the food we eat depends on pollinators such as bees and other insects.
🌼 Even a small garden can provide an important habitat for birds, bees and butterflies.
Every small action can make a difference, from planting flowers for pollinators to reducing waste and recycling where possible.

We are very lucky at Swimbridge to have the use of Daily Sparkle. Their resources are endless and we have so much fun using them for travel days, weekly reading, quizzes, word searches, colouring and so many fun activities 😍

We managed to raise £150.00 for Alzheimer's Society on Wednesday at coffee morning and bake sale. Thank you to everyone that supported us 💙🤍

☕🍰 Yesterday at Swimbridge House, residents, relatives, staff, and members of the local community came together for a lovely Coffee & Cake Sale in support of Dementia Action Week 💙

The home was filled with friendly conversation, delicious homemade treats, and plenty of community spirit as everyone helped raise money for the Alzheimer’s charity.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported such an important cause while helping raise awareness for those living with dementia and their families.
