In order to help others, we have to take care of ourselves first.š
All so often we look after and prioritise those around us, so busy are we chasing our tails with sorting washing out, dishes etc that itās not until we are burnt out that we realise we need to think about our needs.
Even if you can only sacrifice a 10 minutes going for a walk or having coffee with a friend for half an hourā¦.it all makes a difference to our wellbeing. Cortisol (our stress hormone) is lowered. This happens in massage. Serotonin (our happy hormone) is released and it leaves you feeling relaxed, more at peace and able to cope with the challenges life throws at you.
