😡 I really don’t understand how maternity care has been allowed to become this fragile?!

🤯 As if the shocking statistics of C-sections and induced births isn’t enough, now women could be free-birthing on the side of the road?! Or having their babies delivered by paramedics who receive only a small amount of dedicated childbirth training?!
🤰🏻 Pregnancy is meant to be a magical and special time. It can be one fraught with anxiety, and when so many important decisions need to be made - and now we’re adding pressure to factor in travel, transport, childcare, accommodation and the very real possibility of labour progressing on a long journey to hospital?!

None of this is OK.

Why are women’s experiences still being minimised?

Women deserve better. Babies deserve better. Mothers deserve better. Families deserve better.

We simply cannot separate maternal wellbeing from the wellbeing of society.
