✨Looking after our physical health is important for everyone, but for those of us with a severe mental illness (SMI) such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or psychosis, it is even more important as 2 in 3 deaths for those with a SMI are from a physical illness.
🥼We are working alongside local GP surgeries to ensure that those with a SMI can access a FREE physical health check that is personalised around their needs. This could mean providing support to attend an appointment, providing support in terms of understanding your results, as well as access to FREE ongoing community support.
