πŸ“’ Patient Notice – 23rd July 2026

Unfortunately, due to unexpected absences today, our clinical capacity has been significantly reduced.

Today we will be running GP emergency appointments only to ensure we can safely care for patients with the most urgent medical needs.

These absences were unforeseen and are beyond our control, but our team is doing everything possible to continue providing safe care.

We kindly ask for your patience, understanding, and courtesy towards our staff during this particularly challenging time. Thank you for your continued support.

With very high temperatures forecast across the region, the Health Board and local GP practices are taking proactive steps to help ensure health and care services continue to run safely and effectively during the hot weather.

These measures are designed to help services manage increased demand, support patients in accessing the right care at the right time, and ensure that those who need urgent support receive it as quickly as possible.

The safety and wellbeing of patients remains our highest priority. We are particularly focused on supporting people who may be more vulnerable to the effects of extreme heat, including older adults, young children and those with long-term health conditions.

Patients are encouraged to take sensible precautions during the hot weather, such as staying hydrated, avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun during the hottest parts of the day, and checking on vulnerable family members, friends and neighbours where possible.

We would like to thank patients for their understanding and cooperation during this period, and our colleagues and partners for their continued commitment to providing safe, high-quality care and support to local communities.
