Did you know that acupuncture is fantastic for treating chronic sinusitis, rhinitis, nasal drip, general congestion and hayfever?

Don’t take my word for it. Here is a review from a lovely patient of mine who has had fabulous results within just three treatments!

“I would highly recommend, Rachel.

I had been suffering for over two years with chronic sinusitis and had tried the nasal sprays and antihistamines both over the counter and prescribed by my Doctors.

I wasn’t comfortable using either for a long period of time.
Nothing I tried really had a long lasting effect.

My colleague suggested acupuncture but have to say I’d never tried this so was dubious but was desperate to regain my taste and smell and feel less congested which was tiring.

I was so lucky to find, Rachel.

She is a true professional, approachable and easy to chat to.

I noticed a significant difference after my first session and have now had three sessions which have improved my condition massively.

I can smell and taste continuously and the congestion is almost gone which is such a blessing after struggling for so long.

Thank you, Rachel for everything.
You’re amazing! 🤩”

Hi, I’m Rachel - the owner of Flo Acupuncture.

I trained at The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa and hold a Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture, which is a three-year degree level qualification accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board. My training was comprehensive and covered all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, anatomy, biomedicine, and clinical skills. The training had a focus on Five Element Acupuncture which means that I treat the person as a whole at mind, body, spirit level in preference to focusing on symptoms alone.

My original degree was in Medical Biochemistry and I worked as a chartered accountant for over 20 years before experiencing stress and burnout. Western medicine suppressed my symptoms but led to side effects and failed to resolve the underlying issues. It was after a course of acupuncture that I finally felt a sense of peace and calm again and was able to feel true connection, both with myself and others. I was so passionate about my own outcome that I wanted to train as an acupuncturist myself so that I could share its benefits with others.

Alongside Traditional acupuncture, I am also qualified in Moxibustion, Cupping, Tui Na massage, auricular acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and Gua-sha and use these additional tools in treatment when appropriate.

As a member of the British Acupuncture Council I adhere to the Council’s Codes of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. British Acupuncture Council members are also registered with the Professional Standards Authority which is a government body set up to regulate health and social care providers and is accountable to Parliament.

Alarming information that our healthy life expectation has reduced to just 61 years, a decline of 2 years.

Have you considered acupuncture to increase overall wellbeing and prolong your healthy life expectancy?

A really interesting article about the benefits of acupuncture when treating chronic fatigue syndrome/ME. Western medicine offers very little to those suffering with CFS but acupuncture can be a real game changer! This is also applicable to those suffering with long COVID.

Proud to be a British Acupuncture Council member and to be listed on the Professional Standards Authority register as a recognised health provider 🙏

We have just entered the Year of the Fire Horse! 17th February 2026 is the start of Lunar New Year, (or Chinese New Year).

The date varies from one year to the next, but it always begins on the first new moon occurring between January and February, and ends on the first full moon of the Lunisolar calendar, spanning a total of 15 days.

The horse – Wu 午 officially emerged on February 4, (Li Chun the start of Spring), and the past few days has been a transitional period where the previous year’s Wood Snake energy ‘hands over’ to the fiery new energy.

Overall Energy of a Fire Horse Year:

1. Fast Movement & Big Changes
2. High Passion & Intensity
3. Independence & Risk-Taking

What will the Fire Horse year bring for you?

The British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB) fosters and monitors high quality educational and professional standards, so that the general public can be assured that graduates from BAAB accredited programmes are knowledgeable, reflective, competent and safe acupuncture practitioners.

⭐ The focus of the BAAB’s work is the accreditation of higher education level programmes leading to a professional qualification in acupuncture.

☯ BAAB accredited courses offer a thorough grounding in Chinese medicine theory and clinical practice, together with western medical sciences, research and practice management, to provide an integrated understanding of both traditional eastern and modern western approaches to healthcare.

🎓 Students and graduates of BAAB accredited courses are eligible to join the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the UK's lead governing body for acupuncture.

📍There are currently six colleges dotted around the UK offering a minimum of three-years, full time, degree level 6 training.
