We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our much-loved colleague and friend, Louise Griffiths. following her illness with cancer.
Louise was quite simply the face of our surgery. For so many years, she was the warm smile that greeted patients, colleagues and visitors, always with kindness, compassion and genuine care. She touched the lives of so many people through the countless conversations, moments of reassurance and acts of kindness she shared every day. Not forgetting her contagious sense of humour.
To many of us, Louise was so much more than a colleague - she was a mum-like figure, someone who looked after people, knew everyone and always seemed to know exactly what was needed. She carried an almost unwritten knowledge of our surgery, its patients, its people and its history.
Her absence is already deeply felt. We know that our staff are heartbroken, particularly those who have worked alongside Louise for many years, and we ask that everyone shows them the same kindness and consideration that Louise herself showed to others.
Louise was a truly special person and a true hero of the NHS. Her contribution to our surgery, our patients and our team will never be forgotten.
We will miss her more than words can say, and our thoughts go out to all her family and friends.
