Happy Hump Day! 🌧 We started off with a blindfolded tasting session, had a delicious lunch at Cafe in the Park & Beggarwood Community Centre and then spent the afternoon making decorations for our upcoming cowboy party! 😊

We blind tasted - Medjool dates, watermelon, prawn crackers, cocktail pickle, cocktail sausages, sugar ring doughnuts, turkish delight, marshmallow, horseradish sauce.

A huge congratulations to Catherine 🤩🎉

Catherine has completed her apprenticeship, and all of her hard work has certainly paid off! She has proudly achieved her Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker qualification.

We are incredibly proud of Catherine and everything she has accomplished, and we can't wait to see what the future has in store for her!

Look no further… Dashwood’s 5th Annual Scarecrow Festival is nearly here! 🥳

Get creative and make your very own scarecrow! Entries can be dropped off from Monday 21st September and will be displayed in the front garden areas for residents and passers-by to enjoy.

👑 Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane will be judging her favourites!

🏆 1st Prize: £100 voucher to spend
☕ 2nd Prize: Tea & cake for two at Cafe in the Park & Beggarwood Community Centre

Some snapshots from another lovely week at Dashwood Manor! 💜

From crafts with St Mark’s Church and a trip to the garden centre, to cuddles with LuLu the PAT Dog, learning new card games and enjoying target games in the sunshine. We’ve also enjoyed seated yoga, dancing, knitting, hair braiding, flower arranging, Scrabble hour, homemade games, bookmark creations, coffee out and plenty of peaceful time relaxing in the garden.

Activities come in all shapes and sizes, but for us, it’s simple… if it creates a smile, we’re happy! 🥰✨

David enjoyed a well-deserved day out at the local barbers, where he was treated to the full works and left looking very smart after having his beard expertly pampered! To round off the outing, he tucked into his chosen lunch, scampi and chips, all washed down with a refreshing cold b**r!
