As many of you may be aware, Vera, our chiropractor, has recently reduced her hours after 26 years in Basingstoke. As a result, her appointments are now in high demand.

We kindly encourage patients to book in advance to secure their regular and preferred appointment times. We also ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule, you provide at least 24 hours’ notice so we can offer the appointment to another patient.

For urgent or last-minute concerns, we’re pleased to let you know that our chiropractor, Rhodes, may be available to assist with emergency appointments, as he has taken on additional hours to provide support.

If you’re unable to reach us, please leave a message on our answering machine, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Have you seen our latest news?

After 33 years in practice, Vera has decided to take a step back from running the clinic. But don't worry - she is still continuing to provide chiropractic care.

We’re delighted to share that Rhodes Franklin, who joined Backs and Joints in 2023, will be taking over the day-to-day running of the business with effect from 1 April 2026.

All of the patient records and care will be seamlessly transferred so there are no actions to take if you are an existing patient.

Yesterday I had a patient who I had been seeing for a while with chronic low back pain. I had recommended some time ago that she take Vitamin D, with K2 to help support the treatment she was having.
She came back and said she had been pain free and had changed nothing else other than she had started taking Vitamin D. Her words ‘I am in love with VitaminD. And have got my whole family and quite a few of my friends on it now!
We love looking after our patients The Backs and Joints Clinic and support them in whatever way we can. 😃

Start making small changes to help with any mid back pain:

- Posture: Set your screen at eye level, feet flat, shoulders relaxed.
- Move often: Stand, stretch and reset every 45 - 60 minutes.
- Tweak tasks: Break up long desk sessions, share heavy housework, avoid prolonged overhead reaching.
- Targeted exercises: We’ll prescribe a few that fit your routine - realistic, sustainable, and specific to you.
