A very special evening at The Bhakti Centre
On Tuesday 11th August, we’re honoured to welcome H.H. Sivarama Swami for an evening of kirtan and talks.
A travelling monk of over fifty years and the author of nearly thirty books, Sivarama Swami has shared the practice of bhakti with people across India, Europe and beyond. He’s rarely in one place for long, so to have him here, in our own centre, is a real gift.
For the evening, he’ll be speaking on a theme close to all of our lives:
Arjuna’s Dilemma and the Art of Asking the Right Questions: What the Bhagavad Gita offers all of us.
The Gita doesn’t open with a lecture. It opens with a capable man frozen in the middle of his life, facing a choice he doesn’t know how to make.
Most of us have stood where Arjuna stands, asking what to do with our life, and why. What follows is a conversation that speaks directly to the decisions we each face today, guiding us toward the questions worth asking, and answers we can actually live by.
An evening of music, meditation and meaningful conversation, closing with a plant-based meal shared together.
All are welcome, whether the Gita is familiar ground or entirely new.
🗓 Tuesday 11th August · 7–8.30pm
🎟 £8.50 incl. meal · book via the link in our bio

Health isn’t built through grand gestures or the diet we follow “sometimes.” It’s built in the small, daily rituals we return to again and again.
Dinacharya is a 5,000-year-old Ayurvedic practice of daily routine, simple habits designed to support the body, mind, and overall vitality. It’s one of the cornerstones of Ayurveda, and one of the reasons it works so well as a preventative approach to health.
Join Sarah, a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, for an interactive morning exploring how Dinacharya can fit into modern life. You’ll practise the rituals together in the room, and leave with a Dinacharya starter kit (included in your ticket) to start weaving them into your own days.

Tonight we begin our Summer of Kirtan and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to open it.
Joining us this evening are two very special guests.
Adikarta brings nearly 50 years of practice, grounded, stoic, and utterly unpretentious. His kirtan is devotion without drama, and there’s something deeply steadying about being in the room with it.
Adi Guru brings 30 years of his own and where Adikarta is still water, Adi Guru is all fire. Exuberant, joyful, completely alive in the music. The perfect complement.
Two voices. One evening. The summer starts tonight.
See you at 7pm

Something a little different is coming to the Centre this April.
Bhakti & The 12 Steps is a weekend of honest conversation, shared practice, and spiritual tools for recovery, led by Jiva Hammond, founder of the Bhakti Recovery Group.
Jiva has been in recovery for 35 years. Her path took her from addiction and homelessness in New York to a life rooted in Bhakti practice and service to others. She knows what it means to hit bottom and she knows what it means to find a way through.
This weekend she’ll be guiding us through Steps 1–3 of the 12-step process, seen through the light of Bhakti Yoga and the Bhagavad Gita.
Expect real sharing circles, mantra and prayer as daily tools, journaling, honest discussion, and a simple nourishing meal together on Saturday.
No background in Bhakti or recovery needed. Just come as you are.
📅 Friday 17th April | 6–8:30pm — Intro evening
📅 Saturday 18th April | 11am–3pm — Full workshop + lunch
