Sacred & Compassionate Ceremonies

Sacred & Compassionate Ceremonies OneSpirit interfaith minister and celebrant. Crafting ceremonies that blend spirit, joy, authenticity, and a sprinkle of magic. I loved those years.

Together we shape the rituals that celebrate your love, your losses, and your life’s unfolding milestones✨ I am very proud of my Bristolian roots; I was born at the old Southmead Hospital, lived & worked locally in North Bristol for many years. I cared for my brother who had Downs Syndrome & learning disabilities alongside my young family and work, until the end of his life in 2019. I have a long

career in care, mostly working in services for adults with learning disabilities often with challenging, complex medical and physical support needs. I followed this working as a Freelance Advocate for adults with care and support needs; varying from acquired brain injury, learning disability, parents in child care proceedings and those living with dementia. I worked at Southmead Hospital for 8 years as the Hospital Carer Liaison Worker, supporting family carers to navigate treatment pathways for the person they cared for, liaise with health professionals and plan towards discharge pathways. I am unsure at what point in my life, my interest in officiating funerals and weddings arrived, I noted it and the seeds were sewn over many years I do believe of working with so many amazing people and supporting them with critical care, ED admissions & end of life. I trained to be an Interfaith Minister/Celebrant with the Onespirit Interfaith Foundation in 2021 completing an in-depth & rich enquiry of two years training into spiritual development & interfaith ministry training. This involved deep healing, a committed practice of inner growth, sacred practice, deep listening, creating ceremony, crafting rituals and meaningful exploration of many faiths. I now live in Bath, serving the South West for the creation of personalised ceremonies to truly reflect the people you love. If you would like to discuss how we can work together, please do call or message me for a chat. With love & many blessings

What a fabulous sign spotted in Bristol Cumberland basin / Hotwells / harbour area where the former caravan park was.

It spoke to my heart ❤️

Despite not living in Bristol anymore, I feel deeply connected to it for the 50 plus years I did.

I still work in Bristol, I have family and many friends who live there.

I have so many favourite places, the harbour side being one, being next to water 💦 and the draw of many attractions like the balloons 🎈

I love coming home to my quieter life now, with skies full of stars ✨ the sounds of cattle 🐄 the sight of deer 🦌 & bats 🦇 it’s special.

Bristol is home is so many ways ✨❤️✨

Home means so many things to me as I grow; it’s my relationship with my husband, it’s my family being together and the people around me wherever we are together.

Feeling blessed for all that home means to me ✨🙏✨

Anyone feeling called to spiritual development and ministry, here’s your chance to explore this…still time to register for this year!

This two year course of self awareness, self discovery, deep presence, active listening, spiritual accompaniment and exploring faith paths was a life changing experience for me personally.

I continue to grow in ways I didn’t know possible.

I continue to learn about myself through deeper understanding and kindness.

It’s a huge time commitment and a financial investment in oneself.

I saw this as my uni experience that I didn’t have as a mature student.

Check it out if you have ever heard the calling within you to explore what it may be like to hold space for another, to be alongside someone in grief, to honour sacredness and ceremony…

Read more here ⬇️

Enrolment is still open for our two-year training in spiritual development, presence, and real-world practice, with both online and in-person pathways available!

This memory popped up on my personal page today.

The photo of our son, my brother & myself was taken in Croyde when our daughter was away surfing 🏄 with uni (Brumsurf).

It holds so many memories for me, mostly the love we all shared and the fun we all had.

It reminded me of my caring role within this, of knowing Buddy wasn’t still quite himself after a funny turn a few months earlier in the kitchen when he was quiet, vacant, unable to speak and unable to weight bare.

The paramedics ( two young men) at the time checked him over, he loved men and was full of life flirting with them.

He didn’t go to hospital on that occasion.

We later found out after another incident that Buddy had indeed had a stroke earlier in the year.

This made so much sense in terms of his presentation.

I loved being with Buddy, being his sister, being alongside him in life and although his end of life care was really hard at times, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

I am so proud we all cared for Buddy, he shared our home for 18.5years and our hearts from day one through each of our relationships.

“Meaningful connections, gentle routines and a life that doesn’t exhaust your nervous system”

Yes please ✨🙏✨

I have been working on a beautiful life ceremony the last two weeks and this most gorgeous Peace Lily has been holding the space in my creative area…I feel the need to honour her ✨🪴✨

She has taken centre stage, with her amazing unfolding and presence.

They are known to symbolise peace, purity, innocence, healing, and hope….✨🩵✨

Deeply grateful for her beauty each day, she was a gift from a fellow Rev, who took a cutting from her mothers plant 🪴

The plant world is quite incredible, remembering to give thanks for their beauty each day is something I don’t take for granted as I love talking to them all when I tender to them.

Happy plants 🪴 happy me 😊

Had a really lovely time this afternoon at the Bristol Beacon for the BBC Proms with the National Open Youth Orchestra.

Disabled and non disabled musicians, aged 11 - 25, just fabulous.

I loved their piece called “barriers” which spoke of performing together through music removing barriers - you can hear the whole performance on BBC 3 this Thursday sometime in the afternoon (sorry I have forgotten the time).

The BSL interpreter was phenomenal!

It moved me deeply, it was a relaxed performance and it was so lush to hear the joy it bought to the audience ✨❤️✨

Last Sunday we enjoyed music in the park, in Shrewsbury at the beautiful Quarry Park.

Broad Band were playing and they were fabulous 🎷✨🪊✨🥁✨🎶✨

They entertained us for an hour and half, with an interval and our souls basked in their vibes and the sunshine ☀️

I have always loved a bandstand, their gorgeous and often very pretty detail and their invitation…a time to be still and relax or dance maybe.

Happy times being together ✨💖✨

I had the most joyful day of being present within a very beautiful community on Saturday in East Bristol.

I didn’t know what to expect, I sensed it would be good for my soul and it was just amazing ✨🙏✨

A summer singing retreat day on Lammas, a day to let our voices out, breathe, connect and uplifted alongside others.

A day in nature with the most beautiful words and meandering gently with one another - it took me right back to my Onespirit Interfaith training and being sat in circle ⭕️ singing together, whatever that sounded like, all was welcome - it was just joyous.

I felt so full an hour in…

By the end of the day I felt as though I had been held in prayer and blessed with so much goodness through and through.

We were also fed so well ✨💖✨

Thank you so much - I hope to sing with you again soon it was a wonderful gift 💝
