The Dance Again Foundation helps Professional Dancers and Dance Teachers manage any dance injury in a realistic safe timeframe.There is much that can be done in the immediate days following an injury that will enable the dancer to achieve the best possible outcome. Knowing where to start or who to contact following an injury can be a worrying time for the dancer. and have access to a network of
experienced specialist therapists, sports physicians and surgeons across the UK who work successfully with dancers as elite athletes . We work in three ways;
1)Individually -To enable professional dancers and dance teachers to locate, access and attend appointments for diagnosis and therapeutic treatment within the NHS and beyond.
2) Strategically-To work with providers of sports and exercise medicine for dancers by improve routes of referral for dancers and increase front line provision via education for sports doctors and physiotherapists
3)Fundraising -via events( concerts, galas, dinners, sponsored runs) and collaborations ( Smile at Amazon , easyfundraising.com school dance awards ) to fund the above and raise awareness in the general population and within the dance world of what we do and why it's important. NB - DUE TO PRESSURE ON NHS AS A RESULT OF THE PANDEMIC SOME WAITING TIMES FOR CLINICS,TREATMENT AND DIAGNOSTICS HAVE BEEN INCREASED
