Meadowvale Care Home

Meadowvale residents started the day with friendly competition playing dominoes. We did some 1-2-1's getting to know each others interests.

In the afternoon we enjoyed a karaoke afternoon singing and dancing. The room filled with smiles and plenty of laughter. Some residents choose to enjoy a quieter afternnoon getting their nails painted.

Today at Meadowvale we started the day with a octopus quiz, we learnt some new facts as we took part in the quiz. Some residents enjoyed watching the children play football on the park.

Later on we went down memory lane. We decided on a simple recipe and discussed what ingredients and directions we needed to complete the task. Residents choose Victora sponge cake, the room filled with a light hearted discussion and laughter.

In the afternoon we went on a local walk around the park, onto glasgow road and bridgend park before returning back home for tea and cake. Later on we chatted and did 1-2-1's.

The whole day was filled with friendship, love, laughter and plenty of smiles.

Today at Meadowvale was another lovely day of Sunshine, We started off our day with a lovely church service where we enjoyed prayer and harmony together.

We then got together for some gentle exercises and a wee boogie from the sounds of ABBA. Followed by a well deserved seat chilling in the garden enjoying our lunch in the sunshine.

In the afternoon we took a walk to the local park enjoying a chat with some dog walkers and watched as the children played on the swings.

Another fun filled day with lots of happiness and laughter throughout .

Today at Meadowvale we made the most of the sunshine, some of the residents enjoyed a lovely walk to the park, where old time memories came flooding back, a shot on the swings, the roundabout and the flying fox was all great fun.we had lots of laughs and giggles, and of course soaking up the sun was a bonus.

In the afternoon we decided to have lunch outside in the nice afternoon sun , we shared some childhood stories and spoke about family holidays it was nice to share all our different experiences of life.

We also played the hoop game which became competitive and a hula hoop competition with lots of fun and laughter.

We finished off the afternoon with a game of football, it was a great day had by all

Today at Meadowvale we started the day with target practice, the competition was high as we all took our turn. The highest score was 340. The room filled with laughter. We also did some meaningful 1-2-1's.

In the afternoon we gathered in the garden to enjoy the sun and have an enjoyable time playing hook-a-duck, we laughted and smiled. Some residents enjoyed a walk to the shops.

The day was filled with enjoyable moments reconnecting old and making new friendships.

We've had a funfilled day at Meadowvale today with lots of smiles and laughter.

We started the day with ball games, throwing and catching the beach ball. The room filled with laughter. Later on we did 1-2-1 activities.

In the afternoon we enjoyed a visit from the minister where we sang hyms and had time to reflect. Later on we did nail care, painting nails.

After a busy day with burns gym, playing ball games and enjoying an afternoon of men's club, playing dominoes.
Meadowvale residents enjoyed an evening singing, dancing with the staff, the room was filled with smiles and laughter.

We started the day off with a wee quiz to see who could score the highest. The highest score was 87 / 120. We laughed and smiled as we tried to guess the multiple choices. It was a fun start to the day, later on we did some 1-2-1s where we enjoyed learning all about each other.

In the afternoon we chatted about our favorite memories, from the day we got married to having children and our favorite holidays. Later we decorated our memory boxes.

Meadowvale enjoyed a wonderful afternoon meeting the therapy ponies.

Our residents loved meeting the ponies. Our home filled with smiles and warmth laughter as they all got to pet and meet the pony. Long after they left, residents were blathering about their experience.
