Today we celebrated International Literacy Day and Autumn. We read poems about Autumn from Keats, Brontë, Clare and Towers and used the letters of Autumn for ideas for our own acrostic poem. We played name 5+ using the letter A and coloured some calligraphy letters spelling West Heanton. It was a busy day with two new people visiting day centre so our poem and letters will be resumed on Thursday.

Miscellany Monday got creative today with paint splattering making some unique designs. Jo and Debbie kept everyone busy with some brain teasers, the letter game, bingo and we all enjoyed a visit from Millie and Karen this afternoon.

Many thanks to Penny Warren who led our service yesterday and who brought our attention to the wonderful palette of colours at this time of year. Penny brought in some beautiful flowers from her garden and some deeply coloured textiles for us all to wonderful over and give thanks.

We created a wonderful display following a quiz on Vietnam.... we hope you like it . Following lunch we played "guess what's in the box " and held arm chair pilates .
