We are looking for a trainee optical assistant!
The position is in addition to our lovely and well established team.
We need someone every Thursday, Friday and Saturday with additional hours in school holidays and other days as required.
19-25 hours a week.
The position is for a fixed term of 6 months with a chance to be taken on permanently.
The successful candidate may even be given the opportunity to train as a Dispensing Optician. This requires 5 gcse's grades 4-9 (A-C) including maths and science. The course is very maths based!
Amelie, our current trainee DO, will qualify in 2027. Once qualified she will be guaranteed a permanent position with us but due to our continued growth we are able to offer someone else the same opportunity!
The position would ideally suit a school leaver aged 18 or over but, of course, all applicants will be considered.
*because of the flexible nature of the hours needed, candidates on uni courses / at school cannot be considered, sorry.
