We have some good news regarding parking at the pub!

We’ve had confirmation from Euro Car Parks that, for the month of September, the waiting period before a vehicle registration needs to be entered will be extended to 1 hour.

This is to help support our local community while the current roadworks are causing additional delays — particularly helping parents who are trying to get their children to school, as well as customers needing access to the doctors and pharmacy.

From 30th September 2026, the waiting period will return to 30 minutes.

However, if the roadworks are still in place and continue to cause significant disruption, we will review the situation closer to the time and consider whether any further adjustment is appropriate.

We hope this helps take a little pressure off while the roadworks continue. Thank you for your patience and understanding! ❤️

If you have loaned a blood pressure monitor from us and haven't returned it yet, please can you drop it in to the surgery? We have completely run out of our stocks! You can purchase bp monitors online or at chemists for about £15-20.

The surgery will be closed on Monday for the August bank holiday. If you need urgent health advice while we're closed, please call 111 or visit NHS111 online.
If you think you may run out of medication over the long weekend, make sure you order your prescription by Wednesday (tomorrow) at the latest.

Flu clinic booking is now OPEN! Please give us a call or book online via the NHS app if you are eligible. If you're also eligible for a Covid vaccine you'll be offered on at your visit.

You are eligible for a FLU vaccine if you are:
>Aged 65 years and over, or turning 65 by the end of March
>Aged 18 to 64 years in a clinical risk group
>Pregnant
>A Carer
>A household contact of someone immuno-compromised
>A frontline care worker who doesn't have an occupational health scheme

You are eligible for the COVID vaccine if you are:
>Aged 75 years and over, or turning 75 by the end of March
>Aged 18 to 74 and severely immunosuppressed.

Recovery Fest is a creative arts, media and music event, bringing together individuals, families, organisations and communities to recognise recovery, reduce stigma and celebrate hope. This year's event also falls on World Su***de Prevention Day, with a special focus on mental health, wellbeing and supporting one another.
