I’m about to do something that is well and truly outside my comfort zone… 🙈

If you know me, you’ll know I’m not a huge fan of social media. I’d much rather be chatting to clients, reading research or out walking than posting every day!

But this feels important.

For the past 22 years, I’ve been living with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), an invisible autoimmune disease that still has no cure. During that time, the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) has been there whenever I’ve needed them, providing trusted information, support and reassurance. More recently, I’ve also had the privilege of working alongside them through webinars, events, patient advocacy and education, so I’ve seen first hand just how much this wonderful charity does for people living with RA.

This October, NRAS celebrates 25 years, and to help raise awareness and funds I’ve signed up to the Challenge.

For 25 days, I’ll be sharing 25 things I’ve learned from living with RA. Some posts will bust myths, some will explain the science, some will share practical tips, and others will simply give an honest insight into what it’s really like to live with an invisible illness.

Whether you live with RA yourself, know someone who does, or simply want to learn more, I’d love for you to join me.

💙 Here’s how you can help:
👉🏻Follow the journey over the next 25 days.

👉🏻Like, comment and share the posts to help spread awareness.

👉🏻Tag someone who might find them helpful.

👉🏻 If you’re able, please consider supporting my fundraiser via the link on my lastest blog post (on website under blog section).

Every donation, whatever the size, will help NRAS continue supporting people living with rheumatoid arthritis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

I know posting every day will be a challenge for me… so I’ll definitely appreciate the encouragement along the way! 😊

Thank you for being here and for helping me raise awareness of a condition that affects so many people but is still so often misunderstood.

There's something about being surrounded by fields of lavender that makes you instinctively slow down and relax 💜

I came for the views (and the photos!), but it got me thinking about why lavender has such a calming reputation.

Whilst I personally love the vibrant colour, the order of the rows and the reminiscent scent (it reminds me of the scented bags my Mum used to make for my underwear drawers as a child😉), it will be of no surprise to you that there is actually some science behind it.

Research suggests that the scent of lavender may help reduce stress and anxiety for some, support better sleep, and encourage relaxation by helping to calm the nervous system.

Of course, it's not a 'magic cure ', but I love that something so simple and beautiful has been studied for its potential to support wellbeing.

Whether it was the lavender itself, the fresh air, or simply taking a break from the usual pace of life, I left feeling calmer than when I arrived... and I'll definitely be back💜🌿

If you live in London or the South East, I definitely recommend a visit to . There are three varieties of lavender currently on show, and it really is quite beautiful.

Have you ever visited a lavender farm, or do you have a favourite scent that instantly helps you relax? Let me know in the comments below 👇

A sneaky peak of what Nutritional Therapists share and eat when they meet up 🍇🫐🍓🫒🥗

What a fantastic day celebrating 130 years of Clare House Primary School! 🎉💚

I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a wonderful community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by my stand to say hello, ask questions and share your stories. It was lovely to catch up with familiar faces, meet lots of local businesses and connect with so many new people.

So many fantastic local businesses all together 🙌🏻 A special mention to the young entrepreneur - particularly selling their beautiful handmade crochet gifts. Your creativity and enthusiasm were inspiring, and it’s no surprise your stall was one of the busiest! 🧶✨

It was also a pleasure to meet the , Councillor Christine Harris, and discuss the important role nutrition plays in supporting disease management alongside medical treatment.

One of my favourite parts of the day was hearing people’s health journeys. Whether discovering that a food intolerance was contributing to symptoms, or deciding to prioritise their own health after supporting a loved one through illness, every conversation reminded me that while we are all unique, nutrition connects us all.

I was also so impressed by the number of children who came over with thoughtful questions and a genuine interest in nutrition. The future is certainly bright! 🌱

A huge thank you to the amazing , teachers, parents and volunteers for organising such a memorable event. You should all be incredibly proud🙌🏻👏🏻🎉

And finally, thank you to my wonderful support team. I couldn’t have done it without you 💜

Here’s to celebrating our community, inspiring healthier futures and another 130 years of Clare House!

Well, it's definitely hot.

Hydration is often the first thing we think about when temperatures rise... and we start to sweat.

While drinking enough fluids is important, many fruits and vegetables also contribute to our overall fluid intake because of their naturally high water content.

My favourites include:
🍉 Watermelon
🥒 Cucumber
🍒 Cherries
🥥 Coconut water

Remember that hydration needs vary depending on factors such as age, activity levels, health status and how much time you spend outdoors.

What are your favourite foods to eat during a heatwave? Any tips? I'd love to know, so please do share in the comments below.

Wonderful to see Liz Earle MBE again yesterday at IntegrativeMedicineCongress - about 10 years ago, whilst in my previous career in corporate, I attended a talk by Liz primarily about menopause. It was fascinating and even the men were focused and listening 😜

Afterwards I had the opportunity to talk to her - about nutrition - I must have been clearly passionate about it as she asked me questions which then started to make me think. About my future.

Could I make my passion my career? Could I help others with the knowledge learnt and experiences gained from my own rheumatoid arthritis journey …..

And here I am - a PSA-accredited Registered Nutrition Therapist with my own practice ☺️

So thank you Liz Earle MBE ☺️

Great to see BANT British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine , Prolon UK, Layla Gordon | Registered Nutritional Practitioner , The Nutrition Health Collective The Natural Dispensary BIOGENA UK | supplements & wellbeing solutions BodyBio | Supplements for Cellular Health Bare Biology Inessa PEMFiT City of London Microba Regenerus Labs

And of course Naomi Jones Anna | Nutrition & Breathing Annabel Hitchin | Emetophobia expert ☺️

So the weather may be grey and very wet today but….EULAR 2026 starts today in London 🙌🏻

EULAR congress is a key conference focusing on rheumatic and muscular skeletal conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, JIA, Osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and polymyalgia rheumatica. It’s attended by Rheumatologists from around the world as well as researchers, rheumatology nurses, and clinicians - alongside patient representatives like me☺️

Today I’m wearing many hats - primarily attending as someone with over 22yrs lived experience of RA, and also as a healthcare practitioner that supports individuals with autoimmune disease and muscular skeletal conditions.

So many RA related topics on the agenda over the next few days including updates on the importance of nutrition (esp dietary fibre), development of osteoporosis, Menopause and pregnancy in individuals with RA.

I just need to work out how I can clone myself to attend them all.

So raincoat and trainers ready, old school note book packed and water bottle filled - EULAR 2026 here I come!

If you are also attending let me know as I’d love to connect. Or if you can’t attend but have questions comment below 👇🏻or drop me a DM.

So what does a month in the life of a Nutritional Therapist actually look like?

Well it’s busy - and on top of seeing my clients in clinic during May I was able to …
1. Trying out some of .uk latest therapies at their Regent Street Clinic
2. Attend British Association for Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) AGM learning about latest projects, industry changes and hearing from CNHC about how the work we do registered PSA accredited nutrition therapy practitioners is so important 🙌🏻
3. NED forum learning about how data from personal wearable devices can aid our personalised investigations with clients and the importance of being trained in nutrigenomics and using creditable, well researched genetic testing companies (like )✅
4. Catching up in real life with wonderful friends that understand the hard work and challenges that being an NT entails.
5-9. Early mornings and brekkie on the go to attend 2 day amazing Regenerus Hormone conference, learning how the latest may help with clinical investigations and get closer to the root cause of symptoms esp through hormonal transitions. So much learning but absolutely fantastic and can’t wait to use in clinic. And obviously learning alongside more amazing ladies that I get to call friends ❤️
10-11. Yes I tested the 5 day fasting mimicking diet 💪🏻🤯 - very insightful (see latest blog)
12. Tried out the chair to see if it could help my lower back aches - and it did ☺️
13. Catching up with fellow fasting pal 💪🏻
14. Checking out client consultation rooms and facilities at - DM me if you would like to come and see me there!
15. Enjoying the weather and taking time to just enjoy being outside and in nature ☀️
16. And yes we built a volcano ….that actually erupted 🙌🏻💪🏻
