I’m about to do something that is well and truly outside my comfort zone… 🙈
If you know me, you’ll know I’m not a huge fan of social media. I’d much rather be chatting to clients, reading research or out walking than posting every day!
But this feels important.
For the past 22 years, I’ve been living with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), an invisible autoimmune disease that still has no cure. During that time, the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) has been there whenever I’ve needed them, providing trusted information, support and reassurance. More recently, I’ve also had the privilege of working alongside them through webinars, events, patient advocacy and education, so I’ve seen first hand just how much this wonderful charity does for people living with RA.
This October, NRAS celebrates 25 years, and to help raise awareness and funds I’ve signed up to the Challenge.
For 25 days, I’ll be sharing 25 things I’ve learned from living with RA. Some posts will bust myths, some will explain the science, some will share practical tips, and others will simply give an honest insight into what it’s really like to live with an invisible illness.
Whether you live with RA yourself, know someone who does, or simply want to learn more, I’d love for you to join me.
💙 Here’s how you can help:
👉🏻Follow the journey over the next 25 days.
👉🏻Like, comment and share the posts to help spread awareness.
👉🏻Tag someone who might find them helpful.
👉🏻 If you’re able, please consider supporting my fundraiser via the link on my lastest blog post (on website under blog section).
Every donation, whatever the size, will help NRAS continue supporting people living with rheumatoid arthritis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
I know posting every day will be a challenge for me… so I’ll definitely appreciate the encouragement along the way! 😊
Thank you for being here and for helping me raise awareness of a condition that affects so many people but is still so often misunderstood.
