It was eyes down again at Sycamore Heights!

We had an almost full house this afternoon for bingo! With our lounge full up with residents ready to go! With three full rounds of bingo and all our prizes won!

You can see Sheila and Mary were very happy with their puzzle prizes from this afternoon

Despite the miserable weather outside ☔️🌧️

We are still celebrating the beginning of Notting Hill Carnival 🎶 here at Sycamore Heights

Celebrating the Carribean National Islands that originated the carnival and its traditions, by spending the afternoon painting flags!

Residents had a lovely time painting and chatting about the different coloured flags and their different cultures and traditions

Some went by the flags exact colours and others picked their own, regardless, we all had a bit of fun ❤️

Today was Stuart’s 73rd birthday! As you can see he’s quite possibly Elvis’ no.1 fan!

Stuart celebrated his birthday today with visits from loved ones throughout the day, banners to decorate his door, homemade and handwritten cards hand delivered and of course, a huge chocolate cake to celebrate this afternoon!

The cake was handmade by our amazing kitchen assistant Lydia!

We take Bingo seriously here at Sycamore Heights - on this muggy Tuesday afternoon everyone gathered in our lounge for some friendly competition

With Ash as our bingo caller (with a little help from our hand bingo callers sheet) the residents had a lovely afternoon with classic bingo music in the background

It was eyes down pencils ready - With Jennifer winning both our first line game and first full house game!

We value games like bingo and they encourage friendly competition, a little memory recall and of course, lots of laughs at the silly slogans for some of the numbers (two fat ladies 88 is our personal favourite 😅)

Nothing beats some friendly competition!

This morning we had our early risers in the lounge with a friendly few games of dominoes!

It’s a great way to keep our residents tactile skills sharp, as well as maintaining pattern recognition

We had Valerie and Jennifer come out on top today winning two games each

We’ll have to get a tournament going at this rate! 🏆

Today we had Rayner from Home.FitVitality for another amazing afternoon session!

Our residents truly are keeping fit with her bi-weekly fitness sessions, catered for all our residents and their different mobility needs
