🏃 Hi all, I am out running Half Marathons in September, but this one is the Great North Run 13.1 miles, and asking for kind donations to MHA and MHA Anjulita Court.

Half of the funds raised will be for MHA to the Chaplaincy and Music Therapy services across our homes.

At Anjulita Court the other half of your donations will be for our Resident's Amenity fund. The amenity fund is used to support our music festivals, entertainers and events and to purchase equipment and materials for events and activities.

So please donate generously to MHA as I run downhill to South Shields on 13th September. Thats what they said, but I now realise it's only the last mile or so!

A few snippets of what we’ve been up to recently:

🇫🇷 In honour of Bastille day last week residents were treated to an “Armchair Travel” to France where they were tested on their French language skills, learned about the culture and enjoyed a spread of French favourites 🥐 🧀 (extra shout out to Mick-e for dressing up for the occasion)

🎨 Today we had a relaxed art session where residents had a choice of paints, pastels or pens & pencils to colour their ice cream image. 🍦🍨

A huge thank you to everyone at La Rondine for your incredible kindness and generosity in raising £465 for our nursing home.

Your support means so much to our residents, staff, and families. It’s wonderful to have such caring local businesses in our community, and we are truly grateful for everything you’ve done.

Yesterday we shared the afternoon with members of the Royal British Legion. They joined us for a wartime singalong, during which the standard bearers stood tall for
"Land of Hope and Glory." 🎶

Naturally, we wrapped up the wonderful event with plenty of tea, drinks, and great conversation. 🫖 🧁

A huge thank you to all the members who joined us and made the afternoon so incredibly special. We're already looking forward to the next one!

Activity Coordinator Katie took us on a journey through the history of the Henley Royal Regatta and we tested our rowing skills in teams of two. Katie’s husband is competing as part of Bedfords Star Rowing Club - we wish him and the team all the best 🚣 🚣‍♀️ 🚣‍♂️
