Nobody talks about the guilt that comes with being tired of caring.
You love them.
You’d do anything for them.
You’re just exhausted.
And that’s okay.

We see you.❤️🫂
What do you wish more people understood about being a family carer? We’d really love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

There is a kind of tiredness that comes from being the person everyone relies on.

You’re the one who remembers the appointments.
The medication.
The shopping.
The hospital letters.
The little changes in their health that nobody else notices.

And even when you’re sitting at work, watching TV or trying to sleep, part of your mind is still with them.
Did they eat?
Did they take their medication?
Are they okay?
What happens if I can’t get there?

Eventually, you may realise that you haven’t had much of a life outside caring.
You miss seeing your friends.
You miss being spontaneous.
You miss having a day where nobody needs anything from you.

And then you feel guilty for missing it.
But here’s something family carers deserve to hear:👂
Missing your old life doesn’t mean you don’t love the person you’re caring for.
It means you’ve been carrying a lot.

Carers UK found that 74% of carers surveyed felt stressed or anxious, while 59% said their caring role had caused them to lose touch with family or friends.

So let’s ask a different question today 👇
If you’re a family carer, what’s the one thing you wish people understood about your life?

We’d genuinely like to hear from you in the comments section.❤️🥹@

Your care. Your choice.

What gives you a reason to keep moving forward when life feels overwhelming?

Maybe it’s your children.
Maybe it’s a person who believes in you.
Maybe it’s a dream you haven’t given up on.
Maybe it’s your faith, your music, your pets, your plans for tomorrow or simply the hope that things can change.

What helps you keep going?

Share yours in the comments. Your answer might be exactly what someone else needs to see today.

At Samorem Care, we take the time to understand the little things that make each person feel comfortable, settled and at home.

From familiar morning routines to favourite activities, personal preferences and the way they like their day to flow, our support is built around the individual not the other way around.

We understand that quality care isn’t simply about getting things done. It’s about knowing the person behind the care plan.

And when you’re trying to make sure someone you love is safe, comfortable and well supported, you shouldn’t have to figure everything out alone.

You don’t have to wait for a crisis before asking for help. If you’re noticing that your loved one needs more support, let’s talk before it becomes too much for both of you.

Sometimes the signs that a loved one needs more support aren’t obvious.

They can look like small changes that are easy to dismiss.
One sign on its own doesn’t necessarily mean someone needs professional care. But when you start noticing several changes together, it may be time to pause and ask: “Are they managing as well as they used to?”

Starting that conversation can be difficult. But getting the right support early can help someone remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own home.

You don’t have to do it all alone.

If you’re becoming concerned about a loved one’s ability to manage everyday life, we’re here to have a conversation about how personalised support could help.
