Walk and talk support group for people affected by cancer

The weekly walks allow patients with cancer or recovering from their illness to join specialist nurses and fellow patients to share their progress, experiences or to just talk in a relaxed setting with others.

Anyone interested in joining our group is welcome to just attend or to contact Mick Gilbert by telephone/text on 07584676145.

It’s really relaxed with no set agenda, if you don’t feel able to do the walk you are welcome to join the group for coffee.

The walks start outside the Nuneaton Museum coffee shop in Riversley Park.

Due to the Summer Bank Holiday, our surgery will be closed today and will reopen on Tuesday 1st September 2026.

If you need medical help while we are closed:
📞 NHS 111 – For urgent, non-emergency advice, urgent prescriptions or mental health support
🚑 999 – In a medical emergency

✅ Our Enhanced Access service will be providing additional face to face appointments on Tuesday, 1st of September at Red Roofs Surgery – speak to your GP practice, book an appointment online or call 02475 107 053 to book an appointment.

✅ Pharmacy First can help with many minor illnesses – contact your local pharmacy for advice

You can:
📱 Book online via GP Triage through your practice website:
✅ Request an appointment
✅ Ask for medical advice
✅ Get support for non-urgent health concerns

📞 Call your GP practice during normal opening hours

🕔 Access evening and Saturday appointments through our Enhanced Access Service:
• Monday to Friday: 6:30pm to 8pm (telephone appointments)
• Saturday: 9am to 5pm (face to face and telephone appointments)
