“Ken’s Night Out” 🎉

We are delighted that Jennifer McKnight will be hosting a special fundraising night in memory of her father, Ken Greene, with all proceeds going towards our Residents’ Comfort Fund.

📅 Friday 30th October
📍 Donegal Celtic Bar
⏰ 7pm until late
🎟️ Tickets £10 each - available to purchase in our home

We would love to extend the invitation to anyone who knew Ken and the Greene family, as well as those who would like to come along and support our residents.

Every ticket sold will help raise funds for our Residents’ Comfort Fund, which supports the little extras, activities and experiences that our residents enjoy.

We hope you can join us for a great night while supporting a very worthwhile cause. 💙

A lovely final session with Niall and Paul from the Oh Yeah Music Centre. 🎶💛

As part of the Bring Me Sunshine project, Niall and Paul have been spending time with our residents, sharing stories, listening to theirs and playing music from the 50s, 60s and 70s. ☀️

Our residents have really enjoyed their visits, the conversations and, of course, all the familiar music along the way. A big thank you to Niall and Paul for the time they’ve spent with us and for making each visit so enjoyable. ☺️

We received this beautiful poem from the family of our late resident, Elizabeth McParland, written by her daughter as a heartfelt thank you for the care and support given to her mum during her time with us.

It was incredibly touching to receive and means so much to everyone who had the privilege of caring for Elizabeth.

Our arts and crafts session had a little extra help this week! 🎨

Our resident Brian’s daughter Jacklyn, who is an art teacher, came in to share her talents with us, with her niece and cousin joining her to help out too.

Everyone got stuck into painting robins and colouring pictures, with some lovely creations to show for it by the end of the session. ✨

It was great to have Jacklyn and her family spend the afternoon with us and share their creativity. 💛

Our residents enjoyed another lovely complementary therapy session with Jackie, taking time to relax with soothing hand and foot massages. These sessions are always something to look forward to, offering a chance to enjoy some well-deserved pampering.
