✨ Ever wondered why reflexologists keep their nails short?

It's not just a preferenceβ€”it's an important part of the treatment.

Reflexology relies on using the thumbs and fingers with precision. Keeping nails short means the pressure is comfortable, controlled and focused on the reflex points, rather than the nails getting in the way.

It's one of those little things most people never think about, but it's part of helping every treatment feel as relaxing and comfortable as possible.

Sometimes it's the smallest details that make the biggest difference. πŸ’›

πŸ˜„ Tell me you've had reflexology without telling me you've had reflexology...

"I only closed my eyes for a second."

"I wasn't asleep..."

"I can't remember the last thing I was thinking about."

"That hour went so quickly."

"I feel like I could happily stay here all afternoon."

If you've had reflexology before, which one sounds most like you? Or is there something you've found yourself saying after a treatment? I'd love to know. 😊

✨ "Is facial reflexology the same as a facial?"

It's a question I hear quite often, and the answer is... not really.

Although the treatment is carried out on the face, the focus isn't on cleansing, exfoliating or skincare. Facial reflexology uses gentle, precise techniques on reflex points across the face to encourage balance and relaxation throughout the body.

People often choose it because they love the idea of receiving a treatment on the face, finding it deeply soothing and wonderfully calming.

If you've only ever experienced foot reflexology, facial reflexology offers something beautifully different while keeping that same holistic approach.

🌾 Have you heard of Lughnasadh?

It's one of the oldest seasonal festivals, celebrated at the beginning of August to mark the first harvest of the year.

Long before supermarkets and next-day deliveries, this was an important time. Communities would gather, bake bread from the first grain, share food, celebrate the season and hope for a successful harvest in the weeks ahead.

I love that these old traditions encouraged people to stay connected to the rhythm of the seasons.

Even now, it's a lovely reminder to notice the changes around us. The hedgerows are full, gardens are overflowing, and summer is quietly beginning its next chapter.

Happy Lughnasadh to everyone who celebrates. πŸŒΎπŸ’›

🌿 It's hard to believe July is almost over already.

There always seems to be a point in summer where you suddenly realise how quickly it's passing.

The evenings are still long, the gardens are full of colour, and there's still plenty of sunshine to enjoy... but somehow August is already waiting around the corner.

I hope you've found a little time this month to enjoy the season, whether that's sitting in the garden with a cup of tea, walking along the coast, listening to the birds in the morning, or simply opening the windows and letting the fresh air in.

Here's to making the most of the weeks of summer that are still to come. β˜€οΈπŸ’›

🌿 Did you know lavender has been used to help people relax for centuries?

Long before essential oils became popular, dried lavender was tucked into pillows, sewn into small fabric sachets and hung in homes because people loved its calming scent.

Whether it was placed beside the bed or carried in a pocket, it became a simple ritual that was passed from one generation to the next.

I love little traditions like these. They remind us that looking after our wellbeing isn't a modern idea. People have been creating small moments of comfort and calm for hundreds of years.

Do you have lavender growing in your garden? πŸ’œ

✨ "Which treatment would you recommend if I've never been before?"

It's a question I'm asked quite often, and my answer is almost always the same...

Foot Reflexology.

Not because it's the "best" treatment, but because it's such a lovely introduction to holistic therapy. It gives you time to completely switch off, experience what reflexology feels like and discover how your body responds.

From there, we can always explore other treatments together if something else feels like a better fit.

If you've been wondering where to start, foot reflexology is a beautiful place to begin. πŸ’›

✨ Have you ever wondered why we sigh?

Most of us think a sigh means we're frustrated, tired or fed up.

But that's only part of the story.

Every now and then, our body naturally takes a deeper breath. It helps to fully expand the tiny air sacs in our lungs and gently resets our breathing pattern.

It's something we do without even thinking about it.

So the next time you catch yourself sighing, it might not be because you're stressed at all.

It could simply be your body doing exactly what it was designed to do.

I love little facts like that. πŸ’›

✨ My treatment room is probably one of the quietest places you'll visit all week.

Not because it's extraordinary, but because genuine quiet has become surprisingly rare.

There are no notifications, no television in the background and no pressure to fill the silence with conversation.

For an hour, the outside world can simply wait.

I love that people can come in, settle into the treatment, and allow themselves to enjoy a little peace without feeling they need to do, fix or think about anything else.

In a world that always seems to be asking something of us, I think we could all do with a little more of that. πŸ’›

🌿 July always feels a little different.

The evenings stretch out, routines become a little less structured, and there seems to be less urgency to get from one thing to the next.

It's often the season when people finally have a chance to notice how they've been feeling.

Not because anything has changed overnight, but because life becomes just a little quieter.

I always find it interesting how a change in the season can change the way we notice ourselves too.
