A valuable opportunity to connect, learn and share ideas with colleagues from across Northern Ireland, all working towards improving support for people affected by cancer.

As we prepare to mark World Mental Health Day this Saturday 10th October, the 'Feeling Anxious' campaign is a helpful resource for helping understand and manage anxiety 💚

Anxiety is something that affects many of us. In Northern Ireland almost 1 in five adults has a potential mental health problem and anxiety is a common experience for many people.

Looking after our mental health is not just something we should only do when we are feeling down; it’s something we should proactively maintain, just like our physical health 🧘‍♀️

This morning, Tanya, our Macmillan Health and Wellbeing Coordinator, was at Ballyhackamore Library, highlighting the support and information available through Belfast Trust Cancer Support Services for people affected by cancer.

🧶 Could you help our Knit and Natter Group? 🧶
Our wonderful Knit and Natter ladies are always busy creating beautiful knitted and crocheted items, which they sell to raise money for charity.
We would be delighted to receive donations of knitted or crocheted items, as well as any leftover balls of wool, yarn or craft materials that you may have at home and no longer need. No donation is too small - those odd balls of wool could become something beautiful ! 🧶✨
If you have anything you'd like to donate you can drop it into the Macmillan Support and Information Centre, 77 - 81 Lisburn Road, Belfast (opened Monday to Friday) or Macmillan Support and Information, 2nd Floor, Royal Victoria Hospital (opened Monday, Wednesday and Thursday).

Taking Our Support Out and About 💚
It was lovely to be out and about at Queen's University Belfast on Tuesday 22.09.2026, where the Belfast Trust Cancer Support Services team hosted an information stand to raise awareness of the support and services available to people affected by cancer.
We had a lovely morning meeting people, sharing information and chatting about the support available through our services. We really enjoyed being part of the event and connecting with the QUB community.

💙 Look Good Feel Better Men's Workshop 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our recent Look Good Feel Better event! 👏😊

It was great to see so many people there! We hope you enjoyed the session, picked up some useful tips, and had the chance to connect with others.

✨Look Good Feel Better offers free workshops for people living with cancer, providing practical advice, support, and guidance on managing treatment-related changes. 💙
