Yesterday some of our staff and champions attended the International Overdose Awareness Day – 31 August at the City Hall πŸ’œ

25 Years On. Still Needed.

All of us remember those we have lost to overdose and we stand with individuals, families and communities affected by it.

The truth is, we shouldn’t still need this day. But we do.

Overdose continues to affect every community, but it can be prevented. By talking openly, reducing stigma, sharing knowledge and supporting one another, we can help reduce risk, keep people safe and save lives.

πŸ’œ

Proud to be at Belfast City Hall today to mark International Overdose Awareness Day. πŸ’œ

It was especially important to stand alongside some of the people who give so much of themselves every day supporting those facing addiction and their families.

Today is about remembering every life lost, recognising the pain carried by families and communities, and demanding that we do much more to ensure people can get the help and support they need.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make Calm Connections such a welcoming and positive space.

Calm Connections – Summer Programme

This summer, our usual Calm Connections drop-in has become a gentle summer programme β€” a safe space to connect, support each other, be creative and simply spend time together.

This week we enjoyed the simple, therapeutic activity of painting rocks

A little creativity, a little conversation, and time to slow down and enjoy being present.

Sometimes it’s the simple things that help us feel connected
