Days Out With Bernie! 🚗

Recently, Bernie was supported to head out and pick up her new mobility car! 🚘

This is the first car that Bernie has ever had, and it was a whole new experience for her. Bernie picked the car and colour herself and made sure that the car meet all her needs. 🌟

After Bernie and her support worker picked up the car, they then spent the day shopping. They first went for coffee & lunch, then a shopping trip to pick out Bernie’s birthday outfit and new perfume to go along with it. 🛍️

Bernie then spent the afternoon visiting friends and family giving out invitations to her birthday party. Bernie never stopped smiling and waving to everyone she met as she was driving past. 🎂

Bernie having her own mobility car will open up so many new opportunities for her and all the support workers are so glad that they were able to support Bernie with this. 🙌

We were delighted to attend and support this weeks Supported Employment Solutions Supported Employment Awareness Day 2026 event!

The event really highlighted the importance of the specialist and bespoke support delivered across Northern Ireland through the SES Workable NI Programme.

As part of the consortium we are proud to be able to deliver specialist expertise support in the learning disability sector, and it was great to hear from other colleagues across the disability sector about the specialist support they deliver across Northern Ireland.

Together we can deliver a stronger, more inclusive Northern Ireland workforce.
