What a fantastic day we had at our Travel Skills Day in Portrush!

The rain certainly didn't dampen our spirits! Our young people spent the day building confidence in using public transport, practising independent travel skills, making their own decisions, and enjoying Portrush.

A huge thank you to for making the day possible. From providing an informative tour of both a bus and a train at Belfast Grand Central Station, to supporting our journey to Portrush, the experience gave our young people the confidence to explore public transport in a safe and supportive environment. For many, it was their first time using these services independently, making the day even more valuable.

We'd also like to say a thank you to - their funding makes opportunities like this possible, helping visually impaired children and young people develop the confidence, independence and life skills they need to thrive.

It was wonderful to see friendships grow, confidence flourish, and everyone embracing new experiences – rain and all!

Here's to many more adventures!

We're delighted to share that our QR Code Pilot has officially launched at the Factory Belfast! 🎉

Visitors can now access three QR codes throughout the building, providing important accessibility information, including:
- The main entrance – opening hours and visitor information.
- Reception – a description of the reception area layout.
- The accessible toilet – a detailed layout description to help visitors navigate independently.

This pilot is another exciting step towards making public spaces more accessible and inclusive for people with vision impairment. We're proud to be working alongside multiple popular venues to demonstrate how simple, accessible technology can make a real difference to the visitor experience.

Keep an eye out – this is just the beginning! We're working with a number of other fantastic venues as part of the pilot, so you may start spotting more QR codes appearing across Northern Ireland very soon.

Please support Danni and Carla's 10K Fundraiser for Angel Eyes NI!

We're incredibly grateful to Danni and her lifelong friend Carla, who are taking on a 10K Fun Run to raise funds for Angel Eyes NI.

Angel Eyes has had the privilege of supporting Jessica and her family for the past 10 years following her diagnosis of Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI). From helping them understand Jessica's vision to providing education, guidance and ongoing family support, we've been there throughout their journey.

Now Danni and Carla are giving something back by taking on this amazing challenge.

Their fundraiser is about more than crossing a finish line – it's about helping other families receive the same support, understanding and opportunities that have meant so much to theirs.

If you can, please show your support with a donation or by sharing their fundraising page. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us continue changing lives for children and young people with visual impairment across Northern Ireland.

Thank you, Danni and Carla. We'll all be cheering you on every step of the way!

💙 What a fantastic day! 💙

We had the best time visiting Sensory Kids NI with our wonderful families from Angel Eyes NI.

Our children loved exploring the incredible sensory room and had so much fun in the fantastic soft play area. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves, building confidence, and making special memories together.

A huge thank you to Mary for such a warm welcome and for making our visit so enjoyable.

We would also like to thank Belfast City Council for kindly funding this event through the Prioritise Project. Your support helps create valuable opportunities for our families to connect, play, and thrive together.
