A look back at a brilliant day at Eye on Excellence 2026 ✨

From insightful clinical discussions and new developments in eye care to great conversations, connections and plenty of moments in between, Eye on Excellence 2026 brought together the optometry and ophthalmology community for a day of learning and collaboration.

Held at the beautiful Galgorm Resort, it was fantastic to see so many familiar faces, meet new ones and share a day dedicated to advancing eye care across Northern Ireland and beyond.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the event and helped make it such a memorable day. We’ll see you at Eye on Excellence 2027! 👁️

That's a wrap on Eye on Excellence 2026! 🎉

Eye on Excellence is our annual educational day for optometrists - a full programme of clinical learning led by our consultants and clinical team, bringing colleagues together to share knowledge, update on the latest techniques and technology and talk through the cases and questions that come up in everyday practice.
This year it was fantastic to see optometrists travel from right across the island of Ireland to join us at the Galgorm.

Our optometrist colleagues are central to what we do. They're often the first point of contact for patients, and the strength of that relationship -the trust, the communication, the shared care before and after treatment - is what makes the biggest difference to patient outcomes. Days like this are about strengthening those connections, learning from each other, and making sure patients get the best possible experience at every step of their journey.
Thank you to every optometrist who took the time out of a busy schedule to join us. We're already looking forward to next year.

A CEC Love Story ❤️

Four years ago, Victoria and Mr Mandal met right here at Cathedral Eye Clinic. Last weekend, they said “I do” against the beautiful backdrop of Athens. 💍✨

It was so special for our team to be there to celebrate this wonderful milestone with them, and to see their CEC love story come full circle.
