This felt pretty bloody special 🩷

But the cover was never the goal

When perimenopause hit me, my biggest reaction was… WTF?!

I’m a nurse. How did I not know this?

And then the bigger question:

If I didn’t know, how the hell are women supposed to?

Why aren’t we preparing women for something almost every one of us will go through?

Why are women still being dismissed, told their bloods are “normal”, or refused HRT when it could be a safe and appropriate treatment for them? It’s not ok to let women suffer unnecessarily!

And the biggest secret?? HRT helps to protect our brains, hearts, bones, metabolic and immune systems - yet we are left to have increased risk of disease in all of these areas!

That frustration started something

Now Keira and I are determined to turn it into change

So I started writing a letter - now?

Health Committee agenda! Yes, they replied saying our proposal will be discussed at their next meeting in September!

October: Stormont - we have secured a meeting with UUP leader Jon Burrows 🙌

And that’s us only getting started 🔥

One of the hardest parts of my job? telling someone they can’t have the completely frozen forehead they came in asking for😭

If you’ve got heavier brows or hooded eyelids, sometimes less is more. I’ve been doing this for too long and I’m too good at it to give you a treatment that will make you look worse, not better! 🙅‍♀️

Growing older is a privilege… Growing older with confidence?

Well… there’s nothing wrong with that!

I don’t believe we should feel guilty for investing in ourselves - whether that’s good skincare, aesthetic treatments or cosmetic surgery

I don’t chase perfection… I choose confidence

And I’d make the same decision all over again ❤️
