🍂 F2C Saturday! 🍂

F2C was definitely back with a bang! It was fantastic to see even more young people joining us, and it was so lovely catching up with everyone after a little break.

We had a busy session finishing off our autumn wreaths, while some of the group got creative in the kitchen and made a homemade trifle. 🍓

The group worked together to create our very own Autonomie Trifle — and from the feedback, it went down an absolute treat! 😋👏

It’s been really enjoyable being based in the centre and seeing everyone come together, have a laugh, try new things and enjoy spending time with each other.

Looking for the right support for your young person when they leave school?

At Autonomie, our SAIL (Social & Independent Living) Programme supports young people aged 16–30+ with physical and/or learning disabilities to build confidence, independence, friendships and life skills in a safe, supportive and fun environment.

✨ Develop independence
✨ Make friendships
✨ Learn practical life skills
✨ Get involved in community activities
✨ Try new experiences and discover new opportunities

From cooking and life skills to social activities, outings, travel training and community experiences, SAIL is all about supporting each young person to develop at their own pace and work towards greater independence.

🎄✨ We had a lovely day filled with Christmas fun and social time! ✨🎄

We started with tea, coffee and a catch-up before enjoying an icebreaker where everyone shared their favourite dessert and why they liked it. 🍰☕️

The group then got creative with Christmas decorating and bedazzling, followed by some fun games. 🎨🎄 Everyone enjoyed a picky lunch and some relaxed social time together.

Later, some of the group went for a walk to the shop to get some buns, enjoying some fresh air, exercise and independence, while the other half stayed behind and enjoyed some social time together. 🥐🚶‍♀️😊

We finished the day with bus ticket rewards and a tidy-up. It was a fun and positive session with plenty of creativity, laughter and opportunities to socialise! ❤️🎄

🎄✨ What a lovely festive day! ✨🎄

We enjoyed some tea, coffee and a catch-up with each other and staff before getting into the Christmas spirit with a fun icebreaker — sharing our favourite reindeer and why! 🦌❤️

We then got creative with some Christmas crafts 🎨🎅, followed by a delicious lunch of carbonara 🍝.

The afternoon was filled with socialising, laughter and spending quality time together. We finished the day with bus ticket rewards and some well-deserved time to relax. 🎟️😊

🌟 A Great Day Together! 🌟

We had a lovely session filled with fun, friendship and creativity! ☕️😊

Everyone enjoyed catching up over tea and coffee, followed by dancing, boxercise and weights. 💃🥊🏋️

After a tasty lunch of toasted wraps, we got creative decorating and bedazzling Christmas ornaments. 🎄✨

We finished with bus ticket rewards and some relaxation time. A fantastic day of socialising, exercise and creativity! ❤️

Join our online Acupressure & Self-Massage Class for unpaid carers, designed to help you switch off from the demands of caring and focus on your own wellbeing.

You’ll be guided through gentle, easy-to-follow self-massage techniques for your hands, arms, face and head, along with simple acupressure techniques to help ease everyday tension and promote relaxation.

No experience is needed and you can take part from the comfort of your own home. Just bring yourself, get comfortable and enjoy an hour of much-needed time for you.

✨ What a fantastic day! ✨

Today our young people enjoyed a lovely mix of socialising, creativity, practical activities and fun! ☕️🗣️

We started the day with tea, coffee and a catch-up before getting to know each other through a fun icebreaker — “What food could you eat 24/7 and why?” 🍕🍔🍫

The young people then got creative with bedazzling and woodwork, developing their practical skills and creating some fantastic pieces. 🎨🔨✨

After enjoying filled bagels and picky foods for lunch 🥯, we spent the afternoon reorganising, playing games and having plenty of laughs. We finished off by sorting our bus tickets and tidying up, encouraging everyone to take responsibility for their space and belongings.

A positive, productive and enjoyable day filled with creativity, teamwork, conversation and fun! 💛🙌

🌟 A Great Day Out at IKEA! 🌟

We had a fantastic day out from Lilac House! The group enjoyed positive conversations over tea and coffee before heading to IKEA. 🛍️

The young people demonstrated great independence, confidence and life skills, from travelling safely to ordering their own lunch. They also explored ideas for decorating Lilac House, encouraging creativity and self-expression. 🎨

We enjoyed making community connections with the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust’s Falls Prevention Service before picking up a few items for Lilac House in the market place and heading home. 🏡

A lovely day enjoyed by everyone! 😊👏

🌟 What a lovely session we had today! 🌟

We started the day with a warm welcome, giving everyone time to enjoy a tea or coffee, catch up and have a chat. We then enjoyed a fun icebreaker, sharing what skill we would love to be amazing at and why.

The group had lots of fun taking part in a Strictly Come Dancing-inspired dance class, with plenty of encouragement and support from staff and volunteers. 💃🕺

After a tasty burrito bowl for lunch, we got creative with bedazzling and woodwork, encouraging everyone to socialise, be creative and develop new practical skills. We finished the day by working together to tidy up, complete the bus tickets and relax before collection.

A brilliant day full of fun, creativity, teamwork and plenty of smiles! ❤️✨
