Sloan, Eleanor (Portavogie) 1st September 2026, passed peacefully. Beloved wife of the late Jack, much loved mother of Heather, Mandy, John, George and Robert and much loved, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Family and friends, wishing to attend the family home, can do so between 1pm and 9:30pm.
Funeral Service in Trinity Free Presbyterian Church, Portavogie on Saturday 5th September at 9:30am followed by burial in Kirkistown Cemetery at 11am.
Fondly remembered by the entire family circle.

Cooper (Portaferry) Died 1st September 2026, peacefully at Nursing Home. Bernadette, devoted wife of Willie, dearly loved mother of Gerard, Martin, Pauline, Mairead, Aidan and Fiona, loving mother-in-law of Geraldine, Christopher, Kevin and Sean, a dear sister and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother.
Bernadette’s remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday 2nd September from 6pm-8pm and Thursday 3rd September from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Family home private.
Funeral will leave the funeral home on Friday 4th September at 1.30pm to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballygalget for Requiem Mass at 2pm followed by burial in adjoining graveyard.
Family flowers only please.

Patterson (Portaferry) Died 27th August 2026, peacefully at his home. John, dearly loved father of Jared and Daragh and a dear son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
John’s remains will be reposing in John Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday 2nd September, visitors welcome from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Family home strictly private.
Private Family Service will take place on Friday 4th September. Everyone welcome for refreshments in Granshaw Presbyterian Church Hall on Friday 4th September from 12.15pm.

(Acknowledgement) – Roddy Richard (Dick) The family of the late Dick Roddy would like to extend their sincere thanks to all those neighbours, friends and wider circle who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. Thanks to all who sent Mass Cards and Sympathy Cards; those who called at the house and attended the funeral. Thanks to members of Ballygalget GAC for providing a Guard of Honour and for turning out in such large numbers.

Thanks also to the members of Ballygalget Walking Club who attended the funeral. Thanks also to the musician and singers for their lovely music. A special word of thanks to Father McGrady for celebrating such a lovely Requiem Mass. Thanks also to all those who made donations to Chest Heart & Stroke. Thanks to Tracy for proving the food after the burial and for the nieces and nephews and their partners who helped serve the tea. Acknowledgement – ROGERS. The family of the late Roisin Rogers wish to express their sincere thanks to all the kind relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbours who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement. Thanks to all who sent cards, telephoned, called at the home, brought food, made donations to NI Chest Heart and Stroke, attended the funeral or helped in any way. Special thanks to Fr. Robert Sloan and Fr. Pat Neeson for concelebrating the Requiem Mass and the Choir for the beautiful Musical accompaniment. Our heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and staff at A&E in the Ulster Hospital and the ICU in the Royal Victoria Hospital who took such excellent care of Roisin, Paul Warnock for the use of his field for parking, Roisin’s friends who helped serve refreshments in the home and Ballycran GAC and the ladies who helped with the refreshments after the funeral. Trusting this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. Roisin’s months mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 30th August at 10am in Mt. St. Jospeh’s Church, Ballycranbeg.

Loving sister of Maeve, Fr Anthony and Patricia and the late Eileen, Francis, Brendan, Celine, Stella, Ethna, Dessie, Philomena, Claire and Malachy.
Ita’s remains will repose in her daughter Eileen’s home, 13 Coulter's Hill, Kircubbin, with visitors welcome Wednesday 12th, 2pm – 8pm and Thursday 13th, 12pm – 8pm. Funeral will leave Friday 14th at 1:00pm to Mount St. Joseph’s Church, Ballycranbeg for Requiem Mass at 1:30pm followed by burial in adjoining graveyard.
