We were delighted to welcome the Belfast City Council Environmental Outreach team to our Skills Hub recently for a recycling workshop!

The session was a great opportunity to learn more about what can be recycled and how small changes to our everyday habits can make a real difference to our city.

A big thank you to the Environmental Outreach team for coming along and sharing their knowledge with us!

🌟 Thank You 🌟

A big thank you to Stacey, Manager of Greggs, for generously providing lunch for our Skills for Life and Work learners.

Stacey has supported the local community for many years, and we're grateful for her continued kindness and generosity. The lunch was greatly appreciated by our learners and helped create a positive, welcoming environment for the day.

We're also incredibly thankful to Paul Doherty and Foodstock - Community Solidarity Hub for their ongoing support in providing breakfast for our learners. Their generosity continues to help our learners and the wider community.

Having access to a nutritious meal helps learners stay focused, engaged and ready to make the most of their training. It's a simple gesture that can have a real impact on confidence, learning and wellbeing.

At DASH, our Skills for Life and Work programme supports young people to develop the skills, confidence and experience they need to move into further education, training or employment. Support from local organisations and community partners plays an important part in making that possible.

If you know a young person who could benefit from extra support, training or guidance, we'd love to hear from you and talk about how our programme can help.

Thank you again to everyone who continues to support our learners.

Our Skills for Life and Work learners recently took part in a Basic First Aid Training Day delivered by the British Red Cross.

The training provided learners with valuable life-saving skills, including how to respond to emergencies, provide basic first aid and support someone until professional help arrives. Developing these practical skills not only increases confidence but also promotes responsibility, resilience and preparedness in everyday life.

A huge thank you to the British Red Cross for delivering such an informative and engaging session. Our learners gained knowledge and skills that could one day help save a life.

👏 Well done to all the learners who participated and successfully completed the training.
