Reflecting on someone’s life and getting to know the person who has passed is one of the most rewarding and honourable parts of being a funeral arranger.
Over the years we’ve learned so much from the stories families share — not just about the individual but about the history, character and hidden corners of our local area.

One story that stayed with me was about a small village in Blantyre I had never even heard of: Fin‑Me‑Oot. Listening to memories of this little, almost forgotten community was incredibly comforting. It reminded me how rich Blantyre’s past is and how much of it lives on through the people who remember it.

If anyone has their own stories, memories or family connections to Fin‑Me‑Oot we’d love to hear them.
These shared moments help keep our local history alive, and they mean more than you might realise.
