A little bit of exciting news...
I am delighted to share that "Healthy Longevity: Policies and Practices" has now been published.
It was a real privilege to contribute a chapter to this book alongside Walter Crompton and Dr Tamara Pheiffer. Our chapter explores how the foundations for a long and healthy life are often laid much earlier than we think, through childhood health, nutrition, education, wellbeing, and life experiences.
As a dietitian, I spend much of my time helping people improve their health today. Working on this chapter was a reminder that many of the factors that influence healthy ageing begin decades before we start thinking about "longevity".
A huge thank you to the editors and fellow contributors. I have learned so much from being part of this project.
