A little teaser from our residents at sewing club today. We are working on a whole home project and the nimble fingered amongst them experimented with beads to create some wildlife for the project. We have decided to wait until it’s completed to reveal the surprise .. but look at these adorable dragonflies made from just a few beads and wire !😍 The residents were thrilled with the results .

We gave a warm welcome to new mums and tots to our session yesterday.
Our residents and guests had a wonderful time getting to know each other as new bonds were created across the generations. We also included a card making activity which sparked heart warming chuckles from ticklish feet as beautiful, personalised hand and foot prints cards were made to give to loved ones.

A huge Thankyou to everyone who came along and made the afternoon so special 🤗

Another day, another lovely outing for our residents. This afternoon we enjoyed a wander around Notcutts Garden Centre, where we even spotted a few colourful peacocks.
We finished with a comforting cuppa and slice of cake. One resident expressed how she could cry as she shared that she hasn’t been out in a while due to her health and that being surrounded by flowers and plants meant the world to her.

💙 Volunteers’ Week Appreciation 💙

As part of Volunteers’ Week, we want to share our heartfelt thanks to judith, who regularly visits our residents, often bringing her lovely dog Gracie along and always fills our home with warmth and creativity. From making homemade marmalade with residents to playing beautiful piano music, her visits brighten everyone’s day.

Yesterday we enjoyed another amazing morning of performances from the talented boys at Moulsford Preparatory School. From the cello, violin and trumpet to the harp and piano, the music filled our home and brought so much joy to our residents.A huge thank you to the boys for being so talented, polite and wonderfully engaged with everyone our residents absolutely loved it.
We’re already looking forward to joining you for your summer concert at the end of the month.

💙 Volunteers’ Week Appreciation 💙

As part of Volunteers’ Week, we want to share our heartfelt thanks to Trisha. A former relative, Trisha has been a dedicated volunteer at Rush Court for many years, and we are so grateful for the time, care and kindness she continues to give. She joins us for various activities and even spends time visiting a couple of residents in their rooms for a friendly one‑to‑one chat. She also lends a hand at our bigger events, always bringing warmth and positivity with her.

Thank you to all that came to our first bluelight breakfast this morning, very useful conversations about the local community and how best to support them moving forward.
Our complimentary bluelight breakfast will be held the first Tuesday of every month, next one will be the 7th July 9:00-10:30.
