🇫🇷 Bienvenue to our French Day at West View! 🇫🇷

We had a wonderful time embracing all things French! From donning our berets and practising our French language skills, to enjoying a delicious Lamb Bourguignon, there was plenty to get us into the French spirit. 🇫🇷

We spent time reminiscing about holidays and travels to France, sharing memories of places we had visited, the people we met and the experiences that have stayed with us over the years. ❤️

And what better way to bring our French Day to life than with some wonderful French music with many thanks to Becca and her husband? 🎶 We sang, smiled and enjoyed some fantastic moments together.

A day filled with food, music, memories, laughter and a little bit of French flair! 🇫🇷❤️

Over the past few weeks, our residents have been enjoying some lovely little outings — from picnics at Weir Quay, to spending time with the ponies, and even enjoying an ice cream whilst taking in the beauty of Dartmoor. 🍦🐴

There’s something truly wonderful about sharing stories from the past whilst creating new memories together in the present.

Little adventures, familiar memories and plenty of smiles along the way. 🥰

Our beautiful family tree is beginning to bloom, with every resident adding their own fingerprint as a leaf. Each print is unique, just like the person behind it—a reminder that every individual brings their own story, memories, and place within our West View family.

Because family isn't just who we're related to—it's also the people who make us feel at home. 💚🌳

Special visitors Mai and Dottie, wonderful therapy ponies, made Tuesday very special as they spent time with our residents.

From gentle strokes to shared smiles and treasured reminiscence, these beautiful moments reminded us of the incredible comfort and connection animals can bring.

'50 Years of Caring Celebration' Jubilee Garden Party. A big thank you to everyone who joined in, and who has been with us over the years. The Band 'Desperate Measures' played cheery Jazz all afternoon. There was an ice cream station and vintage sweet stall. The Therapy Ponies enjoyed the shade of our beautiful garden and a very skilled Caricaturist drew portraits of many residents and staff. We finished off with a Cream Tea and Anniversary Cake.
