5 months

….its taken 5 months for this client to go from “I can’t train upper body because I can’t lift this arm let alone lift or pull weights”

To being pain free and building strength in all ranges of movement and being able to push to failure without any backlash.

Here is the secret….

….she listened. She followed the plan set for her but also challenged the plan when it didn’t feel right, so that we could adjust along the way.

We kept on top of her manual treatments to allow for the best results possible, but SHE took responsibility for carrying out her rehab consistently.

It does work. It just takes consistency and commitment.

10/10 client ❤️

The aim in our clinic is ALWAYS to make you feel able in your body…

After surgery, your legs can feel heavy, swollen, tight and uncomfortable — and when movement feels difficult, it’s natural to want to move less.

Post-op lymphatic drainage can help support fluid movement and help reduce that feeling of congestion, heaviness and tightness.

And that matters because when your body feels more comfortable, movement can feel more achievable.

It’s not simply about how your legs look.
It’s about helping you feel good enough to move.

Small movements.
More confidence.
Better comfort.
A gradual return to normal activity- whatever that is for you.

Your body is already doing the hard work of healing. Lymphatic drainage can be one part of supporting that process, alongside appropriate movement, rehabilitation and your post-operative care plan.

The goal isn’t to force your body to recover faster.

It’s to help create the best conditions for you to move, recover and feel like yourself again.

The hypermobility score chart doesn’t even include your ankles….

I know right…what?!

And yet, for many of us, hypermobility is SO much more than “wobbly feet” or having bad balance.

My ankles are constantly unstable. Sprains aren’t some rare, once-in-a-blue-moon injury — they can happen weekly. Rolling an ankle, losing my footing, stumbling, pain and swelling… it becomes part of everyday life.

So when people hear “hypermobility” and picture someone who can bend their fingers back a little further than average, remember: the standard score doesn’t capture the whole picture.

It doesn’t capture the instability.
It doesn’t capture the repeated injuries.
It doesn’t capture the exhaustion of constantly trying to keep your body where it’s supposed to be.

Hypermobility is so much more than a party trick

There’s a reason people come to us…and it isn’t simply because we know how to treat a body.

We’re not clinical in the way you might expect.

We’re not robotic.
We don’t follow a script.
And you’re not just a set of symptoms, a diagnosis or a body part on a treatment table.

We look deeper.
We see you.

We listen to how you describe what you’re feeling, how you move, what your body is telling us, and sometimes… what you’re not saying.

Because the human body is complex — and so is the person attached to it.

But being human doesn’t mean abandoning science.

Our approach combines clinical reasoning, evidence-based knowledge and hands-on skill with something you can’t learn from a textbook alone: the ability to genuinely connect with the person in front of us.

We can understand the science and understand that every person responds differently.

We can assess.
We can question.
We can adapt.
We can treat.

But above all, we create an environment where you feel seen, heard and understood.

You won’t feel like you’ve stepped into the doctor’s office.

You’ll feel like you’ve stepped somewhere that takes your body seriously — without making you feel like a clinical case.

And honestly?

It’s difficult to explain the difference until you’ve experienced it for yourself.

Because what happens here isn’t just a treatment.

Have you ever said, “You don’t mind if I rant about this, do you?”

We hear it a lot…

The answer is always: Nope. Not at all. Please do.

We’re here to listen without judgement, without rushing you, and without telling you how you should feel.

Sometimes you just need to get it all out. The frustrations, the overthinking, the little things that have built up, or the big things that have been sitting heavily on your mind.

And sometimes talking sidetracks you from what we are doing at the time 🤣

And there’s something to be said for that mental release too. When we feel stressed or emotionally wound up, our bodies can hold onto that tension…including through our muscles and fascia.

Talking, sharing and feeling heard can be one small part of helping that tension begin to release.

So if you need to rant while you’re with us… rant away.

Tell us all the details you want to share. We’re happy to listen.

Because sometimes, a good treatment isn’t just about releasing what’s held in the body — it’s about giving your mind a little space to breathe too.
