September always feels like a fresh start. Routines begin again, and for many people it's the time they finally decide to prioritise themselves.

If you've been thinking:
• "I can't keep feeling this anxious."
• "I overthink everything."
• "I'm exhausted by stress."
• "I know I need to change something."
I'd love to help.

I work with adults and 16+ teenagers experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, low confidence, life changes, PTSD and feeling overwhelmed. Together we find practical ways to help you feel calmer, more in control, and able to enjoy life again.

I also help people who feel their phone has quietly become the boss of them through my Mind Over Mobile programme.
I have appointments available from September in Henley-on-Thames and online.

If you're curious about therapy, send me an email and we can book an initial calll. Sometimes one conversation is all it takes to start moving forward.

And if you know someone who might benefit, I'd really appreciate you sharing this post. www.keripowelltherapy.co.uk [email protected]

When we're glued to our phones, it's not just productivity that suffers.

It's eye contact.
It's conversations.
It's noticing the people we love.
It's being present for the small moments that make up a life.

How many times have you looked up from your phone and realised you missed something?

A smile.
A comment.
A joke.
A child wanting your attention.
A colleague trying to speak to you.

We're often so busy documenting life, scrolling through life or reacting to life that we're not fully experiencing it.

As a therapist, I'm becoming increasingly interested in the impact our phones are having on our attention, relationships and wellbeing.

Not because technology is bad.

But because our attention is valuable.

Mind Over Mobile isn't about ditching your phone or moving to a cabin in the woods. It's about creating a healthier relationship with the device that's competing for your attention hundreds of times a day.

So here's a question:

What was the last thing you missed because you were looking down?

Ever picked up your phone to reply to one message and resurfaced 45 minutes later having watched a video of a dog on a paddleboard and learned three facts about alpacas?

Me too.

That's why I created Mind Over Mobile.

I now run group courses and 1:1 sessions to help people build a healthier relationship with their phones, improve focus and reclaim some of the time that seems to disappear into scrolling.

Using group work, CBT and weekly hypnotherapy recordings, we'll explore why our phones have such a hold over us and, more importantly, how to take back control.

This isn't about throwing your phone in a lake, moving to a remote cottage or feeling guilty every time you open Instagram.

It's practical, supportive and completely judgement-free.

After all, I'm not standing on a mountain preaching about phone addiction. I'm standing next to you wondering how I ended up on Facebook Marketplace looking at vintage sideboards when I only picked up my phone to check the weather.

Happy 1st of April Everyone! 14 years ago today the boys decided to start arriving early (luckily they turned up on the 2nd) and we never got to eat that roast that was happily cooking!

Having children changed my life beyond sleepless nights and the nappy changes, it forced me to rethink my career. I went back to my roots! 14 years later I am a Psychotherapist and feel honoured to walk along side my clients as they take a journey of great growth. I think each and every client has taught me something too of which I am grateful. I used to think I had left the best job in the world. Now I know I am in it! I have availability starting week commencing the 20th April contact me on [email protected] to book in an initial phone call.
