Northumberlandpafts provides Individual Play Therapy, outdoor play therapy, Family Therapy, Filial Therapy, Group Filial Therapy, Nature and Horticultural therapy and Care Farming. In addition since 2006 we have provided bespoke training in Animal Assisted Play Therapy, Introduction to Child Centred Play Therapy, Intensive and Advanced Filial therapy and Therapeutic Life Story Training . These
trainings are International. Therapy Clients have suffered (are suffering) from multiple disadvantages. All Programmes are bespoke and tailored to the unique requirements of the groups or individuals. Northumberlandpafts works with whole family groups specialising in families in crisis, Looked After and Adopted Children where children are suffering from developmental traumas and attachment difficulties. Families who have been fractured by Domestic Abuse, Chronic and acute Illness, drug and alcohol issues etc. The aims are for families and groups to become more cohesive, to recognise their own strengths and become less dependent on services. Recognising the power of laughter as an emotional release therapy will be delivered in a playful fun way as appropriate.
