🏃🏻‍♀️ Four of our very own fabulous ladies are running this year’s Great North run on Sunday 13th September. 🏃🏻‍♀️

(From left to right) In the photo we have Leoni, Sarah, Susan and Zoe. These ladies work hard but also train hard.
All four of them are running to help raise money for a great cause, The Berwick & District Cancer Support Group (Berwick Cancer Cars). An amazing charity which provides support and transport for the people of Berwick and District who are going through their Cancer journey. A valuable and important service for so many people in the community.

We're holding a drop-in session at Morrisons car park (TD15 1UQ) on Monday 24 August for residents to find out more about how they can keep their feet healthy.

The team will be there from 8.30am to 4pm to answer all your questions.

There's no need to book ahead, just pop down and speak to one of our team.

🚑 From working the Great North Run to running it. 🏃🏻‍♀️

Wayne and Louise McKay, our paramedic duo are taking part in this year’s Great North Run on Sunday 13th September.

Wayne is raising money for Movember, helping raise awareness of men’s health and su***de, primarily because of the rise in male su***de in the North East. Louise is helping raise awareness and money for Breast Cancer Now.

Perhaps you have seen our recent posts about bereavement support but have not felt ready to get in touch. Reaching out can feel difficult, and there is no pressure to do so before the time feels right.

When you are ready, HospiceCare North Northumberland offers several ways to receive support:

Bereavement counselling
Confidential sessions with qualified, BACP-registered counsellors. A donation of £25 per session is suggested, but support remains available if you are unable to contribute.

Bereavement Active Listeners
A private conversation with one of our highly trained active listeners, offering you time and space to talk openly.

Bereavement Cafés
Friendly, volunteer-led gatherings held twice a month in Alnwick and Berwick. You are welcome to talk, listen or simply spend time with others who understand grief.

There is no right time to ask for help. There is only the time that feels right for you.
