That Splitting, One-Sided Headache Behind Your Eye Every Afternoon.
A lady came into my Berwick cabinet exhausted by a throbbing pressure building behind her right eye every afternoon, assuming a migraine or eye strain.
My focus is finding why that cranial tension is being generated. In her case, nearly 40 years of clinical practice taught me that the body operates as one system. Here, the trigger involved chronic duodenal fascial tension. Visceral restriction created a viscero-somatic reflex, pulling the sternocleidomastoid muscle tight and locking the suboccipital joints (C0–C1). This compressed the occipital nerve, radiating pain forward behind the orbit.
Through four decades of refining my holistic approach, I assess the whole body to locate these structural links. By easing visceral tension and relieving reflex guarding, cranial pressure cleared, leaving her head light and pain-free.
To find these patterns, I must observe your whole body move. Therefore, my clinical protocol strictly requires UNDERWEAR ONLY (briefs/knickers, bra for women). No towels. I refuse to work blind; blankets mask pelvic tilts and spinal twists essential for assessment.
As a Specialist Manual Therapist, Rehabilitation Specialist, and Remedial Massage Therapist, I provide a tailormade approach.
