This June, across the UK, thousands of people will be proudly displaying their personal dementia story.

Our patron, Dame Judi Dench, is just one of the millions of people across the UK who have lived through the devastation of dementia.

We’re thrilled to have Dame Judi’s support as we launch this year’s Forget Me Not Appeal – a time for us all to come together and show our support for everyone affected by the UK’s biggest killer.

‘Sadly, I’ve seen first-hand how cruel dementia can be, for both the person living with the condition and their loved ones.

‘Whatever your story, please join Alzheimer’s Society this June and wear your Forget Me Not – to support people living with dementia today and bring us closer to a future where dementia no longer devastates lives.’

You don’t always feel “back to normal” when you finish hospital treatment for primary breast cancer. Coping with the shock of a diagnosis, treatment and side effects, and worries about recurrence can be hard.

That’s why Moving Forward is here. The course takes place over
2 half-days on consecutive weeks. Through supportive, open
conversations in a safe, confidential space, you’ll connect with people who understand. And you’ll find the tools you need to feel more empowered, confident and in control. Ready to move forward with your life.

They keep groups small, up to 15 people. Each course has an expert
facilitator, trained volunteers and a Q&A session with one of our
healthcare professionals. You’ll also be supported by our journal and online information hub. So you can find the answers to the questions that are important to you.

International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every 12th May, which is the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth.

We have a fabulous team of nurses at the practice backed up with our fabulous HCA's and phlebotomists.

Our nurses not only do dressings, injections, smears and bloods etc, they also help manage our Diabetic, Asthma and COPD patients.

We are proud to have them.

From 24th March 2026, all Cervical Screening communications are available in the NHS App for eligible people.

Patients attending cervical screening - if you have the NHS App downloaded, your results will be delivered via the NHS App. If you don’t have NHS App, you will be sent a letter in the post.

All communications will follow a fall-back process. Each communication type has a variation in the fall-back process; this is outlined below:
• First, an NHS App message will be sent. This will appear as an NHS App notification.
• If someone has the NHS App downloaded but doesn’t have notifications switched on, they may also receive an SMS message to remind them to check the NHS App.
• If the NHS App message isn’t read within 24/72 hours of delivery (depending on communication type) or for those where a digital communication isn’t possible, a physical letter will be posted as a backup.

From 1st April 2026 the prescription phone lines will only be open
from 10am to 1pm. This line is kept open for elderly and vulnerable patients without the internet and queries.

Please use the NHS app where possible to order repeat medication if you are able. This is our preferred ordering method and safer.
