We were delighted to have the opportunity to welcome Tahnia’s Pop up Boutique into the home this week.🛍️

Tahnia brought with her a fantastic variety of items to suit all tastes. As well as tops, skirts, trousers and jumpers, there were handbags, nail varnishes and earrings too!👚👖👜

It was a lovely afternoon, giving some of our ladies the chance to do their own clothes shopping, when it may not usually be possible.🛍️

We loved watching Mamma Mia this week followed by a little shopping trip in Flemingate.

We are really looking forward to next months film 🎬🍿

🏖️ 🌊🐚 You can’t beat a trip to the seaside to blow away the cobwebs 🐚🌊🏖️

Today we took the Beverley Community Lift minibus to Hornsea and enjoyed a wonderful fish and chip lunch in Whiteheads Fish & Chips before visiting the beach! 🐟🍟

Everyone said what a wonderful day they’d had.
Charlie said it was the best fish and chips he’d ever had and Maureen wished it had been warmer so she could have gone for a paddle!

It means the world to us when our residents express such enjoyment🥰

Dogs do so much for us!

They offer companionship, reduce stress, assist people with disabilities, serve in search and rescue, and even help detect health issues.

We are very grateful to everyone who brings in their own dogs and shares their company with our residents. The difference it makes to people is heartwarming. 🥰

Every year we receive an unannounced inspection from our local Environmental Health Office to check the food hygiene standards in the home.

Our residents and staff had a great time trying to match staff to their baby photos! 👶

We provided a photo of the staff together with the baby photos they had brought in and tasked our residents with matching who belonged to which photo 🤣

There was a lot of serious studying of faces and comments about how we all had chubby cheeks before decisions were made!

The Lifestyle Project is run by Humberside Police and encourages young people to make a difference by fundraising, awareness campaigns, community support or clean up projects.

This year, we have had the pleasure of welcoming Holly and Agnes to entertain our residents playing music on Keyboard, Violin and Clarinet 🎹🎻

Holly and Agnes, together with the rest of their Lifestyle group, are raising funds for Hearing Dogs for the Deaf 🐶

One of our residents enjoyed the performance so much, he made his own donation to the girls alongside the one from us!

Good Luck to the Lifestyle team with the rest of your fundraising through the Summer!
