Summerdyne holds a Top 20 Care Home Award for the West Midlands 2017 and also the Gold Standards Framework Award reflecting the highest levels of care given to each resident and also excellent palliative care. We have a longstanding team, with many years of professional experience between them. Our home manager is Paula Lees and would be happy to discuss our home further with you. The happiness an

d wellbeing of our residents is paramount and we have lifestyle and wellbeing coordinators who deliver weekly programmes of fun and meaningful activities to our residents. These include craft sessions, quizzes, pampering, gardening, regular entertainers, day trips, themed evenings, parties and events. There is a focus on wellbeing and we encourage residents to do all the things they would have enjoyed doing at home, at their Summerdyne home. We encourage interaction with local groups and our local community.

Have you been growing any fruit or vegetables in your garden / allotment this year? 🌽 Have you got an excess and don’t know what to do with all the extras? 🍅 We’ll be taking donations starting on Monday 31st of August for our community harvest to raise money for our residents fund, allowing our residents to live their best lives! Help us fight food waste for a good cause! 🍓🍒❤️

A wonderful morning with David from Gfitness and we are FEELING GOOD 🤩 Our fortnightly exercise session make keeping fit fun and easy and there’s always smiles around 😄

Today we’ve been taking part in ☕️ We’ve been following National Activity Providers Association’s year of culture and have made our Afternoon Tea all about different cultures, enjoying snacks from different countries 🌍🇪🇺 We’ve also been working on making espresso drinks but we still need to work on our latte art!! ☕️

What a fantastic afternoon we had together! Congratulations to our two wonderful winners, Roger and Yvonne! 🏆👏

Bingo is so much more than just a game. It brings people together, encourages conversation, keeps our minds active, fills the room with laughter, and creates precious memories with friends. Every number called is another reason to smile! 💛

Thank you to everyone who joined us today and made it such a fun-filled afternoon. We hope you all enjoyed our Friday Bingo!

🎶 A Morning Full of Music, Laughter & Smiles! 🎶

What a wonderful morning we had at Summerdyne Nursing Home with our fantastic Sing-Along Session! 💜

A special round of applause goes to our very own superstar, Anne! 🌟 She never misses a chance to sing her heart out, and her enthusiasm is simply contagious. Of course, she wasn't alone – before long, everyone was joining in, proving that you don't need a perfect voice to have a perfect time!

They say singing is good for the heart, the lungs and the soul… although our neighbours might say it's also good for keeping them awake! 😄🎤

At Summerdyne, every song brings back a memory, every chorus creates a smile, and every laugh makes the day a little brighter.

Today our residents shared laughter, conversation and wonderful memories while creating their own lavender bags. Activities like these help support wellbeing, stimulate the senses and remind us that happiness is often found in the simplest moments.

There’s always smiles when our favourite furry friends are around! 😆 Cosmo & Lola have been visiting our home for over a year now and they continue to bring sunshine, smiles and laughter ❤️🐶
