HydraFacial is designed to leave your skin feeling refreshed, hydrated and radiant, with little to no downtime for most patients. While some people may experience mild redness immediately after treatment, this usually settles within a few hours. Following the correct aftercare advice, including protecting your skin with SPF and avoiding excessive heat for the first 24 hours, can help you achieve the best possible results.

At Cooden Medical Group, every HydraFacial treatment is tailored to your individual skin concerns, with personalised advice to help you maintain healthier, glowing skin long after your appointment.

What is a HydraFacial, and what happens during the treatment?

HydraFacial is a multi step treatment designed to deeply cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate the skin, while helping to remove impurities and improve overall skin texture.

Using specialist vortex technology, the treatment gently clears congestion before delivering tailored serums containing hydrating and nourishing ingredients directly to the skin. This allows the treatment to be adapted to concerns such as dryness, dullness, uneven texture and blocked pores.

With minimal downtime, HydraFacial can leave the skin feeling smoother, refreshed and more hydrated after treatment.

HydraFacial is designed for a wide range of skin types, but suitability should still be assessed individually before treatment.

By combining cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration, HydraFacial may help improve dehydration, dullness, uneven texture, oily or congested skin and the appearance of enlarged pores, fine lines, wrinkles and brown spots. Targeted serums and LED light therapy may also be incorporated according to the patient’s skin and treatment plan.

However, treatment may need to be postponed or adapted if the skin is compromised. This can include active rashes or infections, open wounds, sunburn, significant irritation or an active inflammatory skin condition. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, prescription medication, recent aesthetic procedures and the use of ingredients that increase skin sensitivity should also be discussed with the practitioner.

At Cooden Medical Group, a professional skin assessment helps identify individual concerns, evaluate sensitivity and determine whether HydraFacial is currently appropriate. It also allows the treatment and products used to be personalised safely.

A HydraFacial is a multi step treatment designed to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities and hydrate the skin.

Using a specialist device, the treatment removes dead skin cells and congestion while delivering hydrating serums to the skin. Each stage can be personalised following a professional skin assessment, making HydraFacial suitable for addressing concerns such as dullness, dehydration, uneven texture and the appearance of enlarged pores.

With minimal downtime, it can be used as a standalone treatment or included as part of an ongoing skin health plan tailored to your individual needs.

Keep an eye out for more HydraFacial posts and reels over the coming weeks, where we will be explaining the treatment process, who it may be suitable for and what to expect afterwards.

Our medicines and aesthetic products are stored securely and in line with the manufacturer’s requirements. Where temperature controlled storage is needed, conditions are monitored to help maintain the safety and effectiveness of each product.

Expiry dates, batch numbers and product usage are carefully recorded, providing clear traceability for every treatment. Products are kept in their original packaging, sourced through reputable suppliers and managed to reduce the risk of contamination or incorrect storage.

These procedures may happen behind the scenes, but they are an essential part of delivering safe, responsible aesthetic care.

By maintaining careful storage, documentation and product management processes, we ensure that the same high clinical standards are followed before, during and after every treatment.

How long do Botox and fillers actually last?

Botox typically lasts around three to four months, while dermal fillers can last anywhere from six months to two years, depending on the product and treatment area.

Everyone responds differently. Your metabolism, facial movement and the area treated can all affect how long your results last. Areas with more movement, such as the lips, may need maintaining sooner than areas such as the cheeks.

There is no single treatment schedule that suits everyone. A consultation with an experienced medical practitioner will help establish a personalised plan based on your features, goals and previous results.
