Sometimes life keeps showing us the same thing in different forms until we’re finally ready to see it.
The people.
The experiences.
The endings.
The things that trigger us.
They can act like mirrors, reflecting back the shadows we haven’t fully seen yet.
For years, I have felt misunderstood.
And I kept trying to fix that.
Explaining myself.
Defending my intentions.
Trying to make people see the truth of my heart.
But maybe the pattern wasn’t there to teach me how to finally be understood.
Maybe it was there to teach me what happened when I no longer needed to be.
Because the moment I stopped needing someone else to understand me, it changed
I - knew my truth.
I - knew my intentions.
And suddenly, their version of me didn’t have the power it once had.
And perhaps that’s how life works sometimes.
It keeps playing out the pattern until we stop looking at the other person and ask ourselves:
What is this trying to show me?
The same with endings.
For a long time, I believed that if something ended badly, then perhaps everything that came before it had to be bad too.
But that wasn’t true.
Something can end in devastation and still have contained love.
Someone can hurt you, and you can still have beautiful memories with them.
An ending doesn’t get to rewrite the whole story.
Maybe that’s another lesson life was trying to show me.
We don’t always need to change the past.
Sometimes we need to change the meaning we’ve given it.
Perhaps life keeps holding up the mirror.
And keeps holding it there.
Not to punish us.
But until we’re finally ready to see.
And once we truly see it,
The pattern no longer has to keep repeating itself.
